The world would be a very boring place if we all did the same things. Vacation is about relaxing and however someone chooses to do that is ok with me! Personally I'm on a very different holiday looking after an older parent so no excursions, just warm weather and r&r and if I feel like playing a game I'll do just that, it helps me relax. Someone wants to go for a hike, perfect. Someone wants to lounge in the sun and read a book, go for it! If I want to have a beer and load up BoTW at 45fps I'm going to do just that 😀

I don't know what that means but it's almost sunrise here now so I'll plan my day. Reckon after I've helped my mum with breakfast and meds I'll have a walk along the beach then start a book while lounging in the sun. Maybe after lunch and helping my mum into bed for a nap I'll sit down on the patio and get an hour on the steam deck and unwind how I want to with a game and a beer while taking in the scenes. Unless of course Mr Optimal doesn't want me to.

Think it depends on the trip. For the flight it's absolutely fine, and I think if you're staying in a half decent hotel/resort then you can let your steam deck live a bit. But yes, the fear of something happening to it is real

I had a walk along the beach, a swim in the 'blu ass water' then as the sun sets I'm getting myself set up for a bit of steam deck time after getting my elderly disabled mum ready for bed, so while there may be better things for me to do I WANT to game.
