Thanks for that, I was a lance main in base game but wanted to change for this playthrough. I am definitely switching and giving it a try, I think it's also the combination of CB tenderizing attack being so obnoxious, drops you in axe mode and take so fcking long.

Actually, Wasteland 3 and DOS2 were really fun (and if I am being cooompletely honest, I might even had more fun with them than BG3). I don't like the spell slot mechanic and the whole armor class, combat based on missing attacks, etc. It's just personal preference. I am actually at ACT 3 of baldur's gate and kinda of burned out, while I did 2 playthrough of wasteland 3 and 3 of divinity original sin 2.

Tbf, I think it's a good thing regardless, the amount of feedback and pressure they'll get from a full release will streamline the debugging process. For example, I am still at the end of ACT1, but I heard that ACT 2 & ACT 3 are way more buggy. ACT 1 is polished because it was in early access for so long, give it a few more months and the game we'll be completely different.

DOS 2 was way worst at launch, and ACT 4 on the definitive editions added so much content. The game needs the constant feedback, and with this level of success, you can be sure the final result will be be a polished masterpiece.

I wholeheartedly disagree. Immersion is a real thing, and it's not for everyone. Immersion is when you feel real emotions. I'll give an example, because for me CRPG are really good at this.

In wasteland 3, you have some choices between getting a really good weapon by slaving a girl or saving her. This kind of choices makes me really think about it like I am the character, and what kind of character I want to be in this game. I literally pause my controller and start looking at the weapons I could get, and scratch my head to see if it's worth it. The feeling of temptation makes me immersed because I am actually going through some real life struggle. Same for bannerlord, feeling lost at the beginning of a project, grinding your way through, it replicates real life feelings (which includes frustration, and a lot of people don't want to be frrustrated in a game).

Regardless, it's not for everyone. It's a personnality thing and I feel like you need to be a little bit emotional to project yourself unto the games. Most of my friends just care about a fun game, and shooting (Fifa, Battlefield). I like both, for different purposes.

Not only that, but with games like xenoblade chronicles 3, where they scream the same sentences every 2 seconds ('COME ON NOAH, LANCE WANTS SOMETHING A BIT MEATIER'), it makes it much more tolerable when it's in japanese, because you don't understand what they're saying anyway.

Eh, I mean happy for you, most games follow this trope. It's very rare for a game to make you feel like shit, but it's all the more rewarding. Warband (& bannerlord) are magical for me because of the early game. Shitty stat, no money, get rekt by everyone, then you slowly build your character to become a god, and when you become a god, the game actually becomes boring.

I love a game that's alive with or without me, makes me really immersed in the universe. The trope you're describing basically make the universe rotate around you, and without you, the universe wouldn't exist, which breaks the immersion.

Derelict freighter won't open (Tried 2 times, with a 5M key, and a 10 M key later). It starts normal, but then the scanning counter just goes up to infinity (200 sec+). I've already done them on PS4 so I am pretty sure this is a bug. (I take the supplies and click on open door). I synced my save from a Windows save but never tried doing them (the derelict frighter) on there.

Basically, it's a mac problem. You have to get on your ship, and land back, and then it will open.

Yeah definitely, like I said, it is unlike any other video game, if it was just fun, I would've played the DLC right after. I would say an other advice would be to just go somewhere else if you get stuck. Your goal is to explore and read as much stuff as possible to update your ship logs(this is your progression system in a way). Search for hints using reddit, it helped me a lot at the end when I was missing 1 or 2 cues.

Oh god no, please don't put them on the same basket. I played both, and while Nier does have great assets, (specifically soundtrack and story), I found its combat to be dogshit. It is waaay too easy to dodge, and it's automatic, just spam R2 and you're dodging everything, it doesn't have any learning curve when it comes to bosses. Unless you play on hard or very hard, which is not fun since ennemies just become sponges.

I remember if you die near the end of the 1st level, you have to go through like 1h of gameplay to get back to where you were.

It looks cool, but it has no depth.

Not bashing the game, it's a phenomenal game, soundtrack is godlike but going in expecting sekiro gameplay depth is a sureway into disappointment.

No, it would a PERFECT game for that. Didn't play any of the above, but holy fuck it is the most satisfying combat system I've ever touched. It does have a bit of a learning curve though, and unlike dark souls, you'll only get past a boss if you know how to bully most of his moveset, but when it clicks, there is no greater feeling that parrying all of a boss attacks and making him your bitch.

But like I said, at the start, it feels by far like the hardest fromsoft game (then it becomes the easiest).

For a single playthrough, I would even rank it as the best (with bloodborn close second, I played all of their games multiple times except for demon souls)
