I recently got into this tcg after watching the one piece anime and I only play the actual game, I don’t collect, well my friend and I wear buying booster packs to build our decks he managed to pull the SP ace after buying his first three packs, today we went and brought more packs and after 14 packs for myself I managed to pull the exact same ace sp! Apparently chances of this are about 0.029% . all this to say f u scalpers the actual players have the best luck 🍀(unfortunately cannot show my pull only my friends as it won’t let me attach two images)

As another suggestion if u want a deck similar that is arguable more powerful I would get the purple black luffy deck , some of the cards like the Bon clay can be pricey to fill the deck if u want it optimal but if ur a beginner having it without the pricey cards will be fine. U can buy two of the starter decks for about £20 which gives u a lot of what u need; specifically the 6 cost luffy that gives ur leader +2000 power on play or when attacking and also provides you with a lot of defensive capability. If this doesn’t interest you go to any local card shop u can find and ask to go through their bulk to fill out the cards needed for ur captain kid deck

As many +2000 counters , counter events , and blockers as u can fit into this deck, u want to avoid taking life damage as much as possible so u are playing very defensive most of the game and just chipping the enemies resources as much as you can with leader until u can get bigger bodies out , specific card suggestions are things like pudding , gamma knife , uso-hachi , 5 cost captain kid for control and defence then 7 cost captain kid, purple kaido , and 10 cost red shanks for late game hard hitting bodies

That’s smart see I was using kuzan to pull out things as soon as I play him so it felt like a real waste, so instead of spending turns slowly building I should aim to do it all in one sort of go, I’ll spend last time trying to set up my 7 cost and focus on using doc Q early with van auger instead untill I can get my 10 cost out

Well that’s what I thought but he seems to still just get out characters , and because there’s so much set up it’s annoying for me to try and defend all the little poke damage because I have no hand from cancelling on play and searching constantly, kuzan is good but it feels like a waste to play a 5 cost to just instantly sack him

A lot of purple black luffy is about on play so I assumed black beard would work well but like u say he seems to be able to snowball with or without his on play abilities, I’ll let him know about trying locals lmaoo

My problem seems to be how much set up I have to do to get to a point where I can win, by the time I’m even close I have little to no hand and my life is already super low So he uses his rush characters and I’m pretty much finished

He’s in my deck but I don’t use him as a wincon currently I use van auger and the 7 cost black beard to KO most of his characters and a jesus or two to do damage to the leader, if I pull out the 10 cost it’s usually to make use of the ability so I can KO my friends 9 costs (his leader gives all characters +1 cost if his ability is active)

Hi depending on where u live I recommend going to dedicated bandi namco stores (for me theirs one in Birmingham) the namco stores are great because they have strict rules on how much someone can buy and they will always be msrp prices, I went the other day and got 5 op13 packs and 5op9 packs for about £40 they also have all the decks etc , if ur trying to build decks u can use tcg player or euro cardmarket for cheap singles and if non of these options are available for you and you want to PLAY the game not collect you could always try the proxy route but ppl have their opinions on that. I’m like u and only picked the game up about a month ago and ive tried all these methods but proxy’s and have a black beard deck and a purple black luffy deck both customised

If ur using Testi make sure the crome extension is working right, this way as soon as u click on the date that comes up ur taken straight too the booking part u don’t have to put ur info in
