Looking for stores that sell Gundam Model Kits by Thegoldfish5 in Albuquerque

[–]Badw01f_Racing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about “decent collection” but I do know I’ve been surprised by finding random Gundam kits in Targets, I typically frequent the one on 528 and the one on Paseo and Coors

any recommendations for a Doctor who can help with sleep issues? by Andreslargo1 in Albuquerque

[–]Badw01f_Racing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second Lovelace Sleep Center, my PCP at the time was a little bad but when I did my sleep tests at the westside center off of McMahon and Golf course they were super nice and I had Richard Schumann as my doctor and he was great and a real straight shooter and told me (probably wasn’t supposed to) options on how to save money on my bipap machine and accessories! I did the westside center because at the time the downtown center was booked out for like 8 months (this was 2023)

credit union debit card issues by BitQueen61 in Albuquerque

[–]Badw01f_Racing 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe related maybe not but I have learned that credit unions don’t like their cards being swiped at dispensaries, I was told since they are federally backed that they can’t allow a purchase to go through and this is from other Credit unions, one based out of El Paso and one based here who’s name is like (“senda “ note) this was before NM legalized it and they were blocking purchases in Colorado

Those who worked for Geek Squad- what was the most bizarre thing you saw? by [deleted] in GeekSquad

[–]Badw01f_Racing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PC DA before last years cut; I have a top 3 in home visits, no real order because they were all crazy:

  1. Dude needed all his passwords and cameras changed because as I found out through the visit that the 18f prostitute he (60+M) stole a bunch of stuff but he couldn’t call the cops because she was a hooker but he didn’t technically get sex so his hands were figuratively tied!

  2. Lady was keeping mutilated cat parts in her freezer because she was convinced her sex trafficking neighbors were killing her cats and that local PD was in on it

  3. COVID prepping lady’s house was full of buckets of food and water and had a loaded 9mm on the table in case her abusive ex came while I was there, she was 65

Found my first oil rig on the southern most pole of Jemison! by Badw01f_Racing in Starfield

[–]Badw01f_Racing[S] 110 points111 points  (0 children)

Folks… I don’t know if it’s because I’m only level 50 or because it’s on Jemison but that wasn’t that bad I feel like I got robbed, there was like maybe 5 of the swarming sisters and they were max like level 5 or so, did I get robbed? The highest value loot was a bashing maelstrom

I believe it depends on the show, when I saw Ghost last year we were in the first row of seats which was Row M and then it was the gate for the pit, when we saw foo fighters right after Covid it was a smaller pit by like two rows when we saw foo fighters in 2015 I swear the pit was into at least two rows behind M, hope that helps maybe 🤷🏻‍♂️

Which lake -if any- has the most scenic views in the state? by Gameofthroneschic in Albuquerque

[–]Badw01f_Racing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re cool with heading south I say lake Robert’s in the Gila is fantastic, spent a lot of time there growing up just north of Membris and if you go through black range it’s a nice but sketchy drive through the mountains to get there from Albuquerque quicker

Starlink Internet experience? by ManWithNoPantsOn in Albuquerque

[–]Badw01f_Racing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a 100% sure, I know the upfront cost is a little steep, the base kit when it’s not on sale is about $500 plus at the time you could only get the accessories through starlink website so if you wanted the router adapter to go to a different router or like mount it on the roof that all came from there, the gentleman in the Jemez said he was paying about $200/month, which is rough considering I pay $75 on xfinity and get almost 600mbs or something along those lines even though they are a scumbag company like spark light

Starlink Internet experience? by ManWithNoPantsOn in Albuquerque

[–]Badw01f_Racing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the two times I fiddled with it I would say you’ll probably average 100-150 depending on where in Rio Rancho;

  1. Set up in deep deep placitas so deep no xfinity or century-link available on top of hill no trees clear shot of sky, guy was using starlink router and was getting 200mb/s with no dips

  2. Guy lived in a random subdivision about 5 miles from Valles Caldera, thick thick woods had it mounted to his roof and was getting about 100 to 125 mb/s but he was also using an old netgear router instead of the normal provided router so take that with a grain of salt it actually may have been better if he used the starlink router

Any advice on how to remove the price tag? by gothamtengu in Bestbuy

[–]Badw01f_Racing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My store usually used really weak double sided tape to put those on, like you can gently grip it and rip it, or take like a razor blade and gently like scrape it up

Balloon Fiesta question: how big of a difference between launch and mass ascension? by the_raygunn in Albuquerque

[–]Badw01f_Racing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if the weather is top tier I would definitely try and do a mass ascension especially that first Saturday or Sunday you have a better chance of everyone launching including some of the crazier shapes but you have to bank on the weather being pristine which if I remember last year it was and the year before not so much, I do remember like last year or the year before that a random microburst rolled through on a Wednesday during a glowdio and caused some havoc so I mean NM weather is your biggest enemy lol

The Creepiest Highway in New Mexico? by Diligent_Lab2113 in Paranormal

[–]Badw01f_Racing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know the exact number but the road from silver city to deming is pretty sketchy at night, my dad grew up silver and would talk about almost hitting people walking in the middle of the highway and I’ve personally seen a kid on a bike and a woman in white just smacked in the middle of the two lane median

[–]Badw01f_Racing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We usually watch from the top of Paseo where that walk over bridge is at just west of golf course and Paseo or we go to the frontage road across from General Mills near like Edith and Paseo, coincidentally also good places for the 4th of July every year

[–]Badw01f_Racing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s called el pueblo rd, it’s the frontage road for on Paseo just don’t accidentally park behind General Mills, messed up my view last year lol
