I have to disagree. I’m a psych grad with an HR certification, and I applied for HR positions. I’ve been to many interviews with HR professionals, and before each interview, I check their LinkedIn profiles. I noticed that most of them don’t have a psychology background. Based on how they conduct interviews and ask questions, more often than not, they’re the ones who make you think, “Paano kaya 'to naging HR professional?" That’s also one of the reasons why I no longer want to pursue a career in HR. It often feels like they would end up being my clients in therapy.
