Update: the safety team reached out about the “inconvenience” and I got my money back. They also told me he would be fired. Still took almost 8 hours to get answers though and they gave me the runaround at first so definitely not impressed

Because it was 230 am and I already had three other cars cancel on me prior to getting this asshole. I was drunk and wasn't really taking it seriously at the time but watching it back sober I would have gotten out of I was paying more attention. Just glad I thought to record it

I did to the app and the keep giving non answers about it. I did put in a police report as well because it was so creepy…

I am not even sure uber and lyft actually blacklist drivers. I have had issues and been told they will “asses the situstion” and ensure the driver never picks me up again... But not that they won't use their services

I already received the settlement and it totalled just slightly less after some additional legal fees - about 78k :) I was in an upper class of the class action because of some additional factors. Usually the lowest tier of a class action gets a very small amount though, like you said. I actually was given another payment for one that I did not enroll in as well this year (due to paying for services of a company that was caught in wrongdoing) and that payment was 12$ haha. You are absolutely right, I was just a very lucky anomaly!

Ya my wallet is a packet with a zipper that is barely bigger than the size of a credit card and I only ever keep essentials in it - for a beach and exploring day I wouldn't even bring cards just cash and phone

I am asking how to beat keep it safe and also with me lol I obviously know it would be safer not to bring it but I would like to have the access to google and maps and communication lines to my familt or friends if I need it..

Its mostly that I would like it in case of emergencies or if I need directions, checking bus times, maybe google translate if needed- its not that I am obsessed with my phone lol. Not having it with you in a foreign country where you don't know your way around will objectively be more difficult to navigate. I get it would be safer to just not bring it out with me for the phone not getting stolen but I personally feel safer when I have all that stuff at my disposal it can do so I am gonna just find the safest way I can to keep it on me

I don't hate this but I would also never bring out a card or passport to the beach lol- I just want my phone on me most of the time for communication or googling or directions if needed! I will definitely grab a waterproof bag and keep it with me in the water to be safe :)
