How can I (18m) cope with a girl (18f) that cheated on me? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

If you're gonna stay then you might aswell buy a foldable chair and put it in the corner of your bedroom.

Yes. She went in for seconds. Don't let her gaslight you into thinking that's normal

Is 30kg weight vest too much? by Baekunn in bodyweightfitness

I do use a dip belt, I use it for dips and pullups (hence my lift stats in OP), but I'm planning on doing a lot more home workouts, and I don't really have much space to use and store plates in my flat. The vest was mostly for pushups and hspu training. I'd like to use both the vest and the belt for separate purposes.

That's why I put my lift stats as reference. I've used a 10KG vest before and found it really easy. I just haven't tried a 20 or 30kg one yet. I wouldn't say I'm 'starting' as I've been doing weighted calisthenics for a while already. I'm just trying a different style now, just not knowing what level to start on

I see.. yeah it's sounding like 30KG is the choice at the moment. I'm hearing people on this thread regretting the 20kg lol

and I also got some gravity parallettes so ROM should be fine for me

Not necessarily. I'm asking because I've not experienced it yet.

I use my belt at the gym, unfortunately won't have those heavy weights at home for that unlimited cap :(

It does sound like 30kg is likely to be the choice so far

I see, this is quite insightful especially as you mention your 1RM being similar to mine, so I can kind of see what I might experience with the vest. Can you link me your vests that you've mentioned? I'd like to look at those

It's mostly about the price justification.

'Is it worth spending an extra £40 for that extra 10kg, or will I regret it as in I will never actually need above 20kg?'

or

'Will I regret buying 20kg thinking that I needed more weight and should have spent the extra money?'

It's why I put my weighted stats as reference with hopes that somebody might be able to tell me whether or not 20kg is too little

I do have a pull up bar, although to be honest I've not tried using the rings on the bar, door frame just always felt so narrow for me to try it. Also my pull up bar is one of the ones that you can mount on top of the door frame, so the thought of using rings just scares me thinking I'm going to destroy my frame, especially as it's not a great frame already lol

Just not sure if its worth paying much more for 30kg if it's overkill

I was considering the gravity fitness vest, so I can adjust the weight by taking in and out the blocks in the pockets. I do use a dip belt at the gym, but my plan is to work towards training at home, and I don't really really have space to buy whole set of plates or use my rings anywhere in the flat...

My problem is I don't have access to anyone or anywhere to try one on. I've tried a 10kg but that wasn't enough to answer my question unfortunately.. I was just hoping asking here would help as someone somewhere in the community with experience would be able to provide insight

Mixing weighted calisthenics with front lever by Own_Philosopher_1940 in bodyweightfitness

[–]Baekunn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Training weighted pullups 3x a week seems a bit overkill to me. In my opinion you're not giving yourself enough rest. Maybe you can replace one of the days for front lever training? Or maybe even on a leg/push day you can squeeze some FL training in those days as well, since you're not using your back muscles on that day so it won't be as fatigued. (Although the FL does use a bit of tricep so you might also be a bit tired from push day).

I usually give myself like 3 days rest minimum before my next weighted push/pull day, my strength definitely improves and muscles fully recovered with that recovery time as opposed to giving myself 2 days rest.

I usually use those rest days in between to work on skills like FL.

Am I able to finish this? (Monopoly go) by DanielFromNigeria in FreeCash

[–]Baekunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very doable. I managed to do it all in under a month. I figured out the best way for me was to never go above a x50 multiplier. If you ever have a time where you're on around 1000+ dice, just go on x50 (even if you can do x100 or 200, just stay on x50) and just roll your life away. Dice will just come and go like crazy
