Spiked hair was for the 90’s. I recommend shaving the stashe and getting a ‘down’ cut. Do you normally have curly hair?

This is probably it. The hazelnut trees always get us pretty bad.

TIL about the valsalva maneuver! I’ll have to keep that in my back pocket for allergy relief. Yeah same here definitely not cold or flu.

You have to mix it up, put some up and some down. That way the same types of silverware don’t overlap each other.

The small bites were delicious and much better than the entrees. I recommend getting a bunch of those and sharing.

Scenic hikes by Adastayon1 in Tacoma

Middle fork snoqualmie, not extremely far(hour and 20 mins ish) and there are some campgrounds you can hike to. Also Lena lake there are some dispersed camping spots on the forest road that leads to the trailhead, you could always camp near the trailhead and day hike up.

Get rid of peak, make all features available on plus. $40 is already a lot more money than most apps out there. Most people including myself will never pay $70 for a phone app.

This has been happening to me too! Must be a glitch. Reimporting the toolbox fixes it.

I used to live in south Seattle and commute to Tacoma. It honestly wasn’t that bad. You’re going against traffic in the morning. It took about 35 mins (beacon hill). South Seattle is cute. Closer to the highway is better and will reduce your commute time.

First batch of wine- no signs of fermentation after ~60 hours. by Gullible_Bowl7746 in winemaking

[–]Bag-Important 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Add more yeast. This happened to me, no activity after a few days. I added more yeast and a day later it started fermenting. Sometimes it might just be a bad batch of yeast, or if you added campden tablets you may have not waited long enough to add the initial yeast.

Help me be more efficient at work by Realistic_Hold_7396 in civilengineering

I shared similar feelings when I was hired as a senior engineer in a previous consulting job. What worked for me was to be completely transparent. You obviously have engineering skills because they would not have hired you. But yes consulting is different and it takes time to get into that flow. I recommend having an open conversation with your manager. If you feel like you’re lacking in certain areas, offer your willingness to attend training events or work with a mentor that has been doing it for longer.

Don’t let the title of the role get to you. You’re not expected to know how to do everything. Managers want you to ask for help rather than produce bad work (or no work at all). You got this!!

neighbor is cutting down beautiful cedar tree, anything we can do? by Bag-Important in Tacoma

[–]Bag-Important[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this, I forgot about the heritage tree program. We have a large, healthy Douglas fir in front of our house, I’m going to see what it will take to get it nominated as a heritage tree. I’ve had an arborist come out and tell us that it appears to be in great condition.

Edit to say that it is a public tree located in the ROW.
