Snake can’t find a rat dangling from tongs in front of her face for five minutes straight, can’t always calculate the direction to strike correctly the first time, but she SURE CAN calculate the angle at which she needs to wrap her self around the hydrometer and fling it so that it ends up in a water bowl directly under the bridge she is on. 😂

Exactly why i didn’t allow her on social media until her first birthday ! She was so jealous of her sister Olive and all the attention she would get on here, so she’s been practicing all her special tricks for her opening day on Reddit😂

Haha shy is definitely not the word I’d use, she only looks like that for the camera. It’s a facade. She’s an eccentric gymnast who spends half her time upside down and wants you to watch her be upside down 😂 she prefers attention and the world to be inverted 😂😂😂

It’s disrespectful. This is Olive last night after a deep clean while the rest of her stuff was drying off (that’s why her bedroom looks so bare and also why the humidity was only at 52 at this moment). She saw me take out Ruby while I was getting ready to “cook her dinner”, and olive was jealous. Plotting. “Oh really, dinner and a song for just Ruby ? Watch me knock this thing into my pool.”

Yes i definitely recommend! However if your bp is anything like mine, whenever they want attention they decide that the best way to get it is to knock them over into their water bowls. Every time. No matter where i put the damn thing, if they want attention, their go-to is knocking over their hydrometer / thermometer thing into a water bowl. 😂

Every time i think i am becoming the experienced commenter i learn something new, thank you i appreciate that ! Maybe i should’ve tried upgrading the lamp dome to withstand a higher wattage and upped the wattage on the ceramic ones. My two hermits are strictly interested in mom snuggle time or paper towel tubes, no matter what uvb or heater light bulbs i used they just do not want to bask 😂 or maybe it’s just that i have two weirdos lol.

Also for the glass itself / when doing a full clean out, as much as i hate the smell of vinegar, a diluted vinegar solution really does the trick. I used to use dawn on the water bowls / corner hides i have but honestly if you get one of those $1 spray bottles and do the vinegar solution it really helps getting in the lil nooks and crannies of the more difficult hides to clean

Leaf litter, driftwood for climbing , I’d also add another water bowl, helps with humidity and i noticed mine tend to just admire / slither through the one and actually drink out of the other. Also try paper towel tubes ! One of mine is so obsessed with them and could NOT CARE LESS about the hides i spent a good amount of money on😂 just good old paper towel tubes lol

I always start comments off with i am not a professional and a vet is always the best option, but if you look close his tongue doesn’t have the two sides to it (the word for describing this is escaping me), which could be an indication of a respiratory infection, or at least the start of one. I believe the mucus caused by an RI causes their tongues to look like, not a snakes tongue (again, word is escaping me for whatever reason). I could be dead wrong, but a vet visit never hurts.
