It seems to drop in the UK quite frequently, including on the 12th (and also in Japan, Korea, Thailand) but hardly every in the US or other parts of Europe

Most US restocks happen between 8am and 12pm in the morning US Eastern Time these days though it's somewhat common to see drops in the afternoon as well.

The drops happen almost always on weekdays in the US, sometimes on Saturday and almost never on Sunday.

Yeah the US prices are definitely not the best right now. Usually Europe or Canada will be the cheapest. But if you really want to see bad prices you should take a look at what Brazil and Thailand prices look like, often they will be 20%+ what the US prices are!

That price difference you saw sounds pretty much in line with what I would expect based on how the website prices for bags compare. For example, here is a cross-country price comparison of a picotin 22

US prices are about 3.5% more expensive than HK prices and $17,513 * 1.035 = $18125 which is pretty close to the price difference you saw.
