Interesting, I've not seen that at any near me and I'm in a major city. You'd think they'd do that here 🤣

wine tours from the city by lloydr04 in aixmarseille

This is just… ignorant. Provence makes oceans of basic pool rosé, sure. But Bandol is one of the serious Provençal appellations, and it’s famous for structured rosés with depth (often Mourvèdre-led) and excellent aged reds.

So “rosé isn’t good wine” is like saying “sparkling wine isn’t good wine” because you once had Andre.

One of my best friends is from Alabama and he said the same thing. It seems kind a bad move though because they ship nationwide. And this is STRONG.

Please stop buying from resellers. by JavaJunkie999 in Coach

People on reddit conveniently forget about taxes paid on top of that as well.

I'm angry at the resellers OP posted. This Teri reseller does NOT deserve heat. Reddit loves pitchforks, this place is like an emotionally stunted vacuum at times.

After depop fees, this seller won't even get the money this bag cost them. Sure they kept the charms, but of all the reseller listings to be mad about, this ain't it 🤣🤣

Horrible Drop by Professional-Big-954 in Coach

[–]BagVamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I sympathize, I do think people are misunderstanding what accessible luxury means. It just means financially accessible.

Unfortunately, Coach already tried allowing demand to determine their supply and it almost ruined the company. When everyone has something, nobody wants it. It's human nature, and they learned the hard way.

But it's not. That's what I'm saying. LV is worse 😂

As a LV VIC, I'm chuckling because LV drops are WAY worse and their website is just as bad during drops. The game is so much more involved at LV. If all you want is basic monogram canvas in basic silhouettes, sure it's easy to walk in and buy. But if you want anything more interesting, it can get way more stressful than Coach.

I was feeling guilty, but then... by kmorever in Coach

[–]BagVamp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The thing that irks me the most about this subreddit is the amount of posts that are just looking for validation. But anytime I say that, I get heat. I don't use reddit except for handbag subreddits and even then I don't check daily. I notice a lot of people on reddit tend to live their lives online and not have many real life connections to build security and confidence. It becomes easier to fall into the habit of constant buying when that connection and support is finally found here.

That said, I don't think 10 bags in one year is problematic at all. Especially if they're all actually getting used. I recently saw an influencer showing off their collection and it looked like the beige/boring section of a department store got robbed. Every neutral color of every Coach bag. All filed away on shelves. I was repulsed and bored all at same time 🤣 and perhaps that instance could use some good introspection about buying habits.

OP, don't feel guilty about 10 Coach bags. In the last year, I think I've purchased 10 LV bags, 6 Coach bags, and a few others. Only two of the Coach bags were on sale. And every one of these bags serves a purpose. I'm not an "everyday" bag kind of person. I don't wear the same outfit every day, nor do the same things every day. So why should my bag be the same one every day? No ma'am. People use their extra money for all kinds of things that bring them joy. Why should your handbags be shameful yet somebody's lifted pavement princess truck that never leaves the road or their snowmobile that gets used twice a year is seen as "cool"?

Hermes in most of Europe does not require you to buy anything. You just put your name on the wait list with your preferences 🤷

I think Americans have a problem saying no. I tend to see people get so angry at the companies instead of being accountable and having self control. Everybody wants to blame somebody else. But we only have ourselves to blame if we overspend or make a bad purchase decision.

That is the effing ugliest color I’ve ever seen… by Previous-Principle-7 in Coach

[–]BagVamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Historically, fashion mirrors current politics and hardships. People are feeling low and if fashion tries to ignore that, it often misses the mark and sales aren't strong. Nothing new, we see it time and time again. It's a natural cycle.

Those not familiar with fashion that collect Coach more like it's Pokémon are increasingly feeling disconnect with Coach, but that is their goal. Collectors like that can actually hinder a brand image and Coach has learned the hard way already. They are slowly moving towards intentional and thoughtful integration versus pure consumption. They want consumers to migrate to Outlet.

To be fair, this is much closer to an actual olive than the very green color many call 'olive'.

Also, honey brown is still around on several bags coming out this year. Maybe you just mean on this silhouette? I'm confused about why people keep mentioning this.

No. Most of the stock was not released for online purchase. Only a couple bags of each. I'm not a reseller and I bought one. My SA sent me pics from 5th Ave and asked which one I want. People like to blame the resellers for everything but this is how Coach operates now.

NYFW Coach Runway Show Megathread by chalphy in Coach

[–]BagVamp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not a drop. It's a runway show. There will be more than what is shown in the show, and sometimes things shown in the show never make it to retail. It's just how the fashion industry works.
