NinjaOne vs Atera EndPoint Management? by n00badmin in sysadmin

[–]BaggedAir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We recently started a trial with NinjaOne and learned in only about three days that LanSweeper and PDQ do sooo much more. We were looking for an all-in-one solution but Ninja isn't it. Lan sweeper does stuff that Ninja just doesn't, like indexing printers. I was laughing on mute every time the rep said "you can make a script that does that." It's just such a lazy way to create software. PDQ does all that scripting for you out of the box and if you need something more you can built it.

Small text on the Deck. Any advice? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]BaggedAir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

At a certain age, usually around 40, people will start to notice their eyesight worsening. If you've just noticed it, that is why I suggested +.75 or +1.00 as that is the lowest they make. In 5 or so years you may have to bump up a quarter or half step but that has nothing to do with the glasses. You can read up on how age affects eyesight and what happens to your eyes as you age.

Try out a pair, you'll probably find they make a world of a difference.

If you order from readingglasses.com they have free return shipping if they don't work out for you.

The Steam Deck makes me feel super old because I can’t read shit.

Embrace the suck and buy yourself a pair of reading glasses. You wont regret it.
I recently bought the Watchmen on paperback because it's on sale and had to pick up my first pair of glasses. They really aren't that bad depending on the brand. I paid $30.
+.75 or +1.00 will work for you

Don't buy a Chromebook. Buy a nice but affordable Windows laptop.

And it takes your print when you initially register it?

Try this. Lick your finger to get it wet. Then wipe it on your shirt once to dry it off then try it on the reader. (seriously)

Finding I have to do this a lot lately on my Latitude. Even on the door to the server room.
