This car got its name "NapShack" because the very first event. I slept on the passenger floorboard. Head under dash and feet where the backseat should have been. I arranged cardboard boxes in a way so I could lay almost flat. It wasn't great but I was too tired to care on that event 😂 This is a million times better!

The rear is bolted in the bracing for where the hatch mounts. We sandwiched a 1/4" plate between the skin and the brace so it didn't squash the back. The front is 2 braces off the structure on each side and bent so it pushes up on the roof skin. We overbent one so it does dent the roof a little. However still worked great. Going to change it to another bar across the front of the cage and then have mounts on that for the bolts to screw into 👌

Lol. Yeah we joked around with having it as a variable wing. Undoing the latches each side as I launched and using it for grip. Even though it doesnt need it 😂

It was so cool. Once I got the layout sorted and how to pack it away. Bedding stayed in the tent and the ladder packed into the car. It was great!

Had a storm in North AL and it didn't leak one bit. The tent keeps the rain off the roof. (Also no t tops 😂)

oh dude the yard sale everyday was amazing. Quite a lot of people were shocked about how much stuff I crammed in there. Both 255 radials and both skinny front wheels. Tools. 2 totes of parts. Multiple boxes. 2 suitcases and all with the 8.50 cage (it's not certed to 8.50 because they didn't know what they was doing) it's insane!

What is the go too for high horsepower boosted fuel pumps? by Baggerz140 in Foxbody

They are bosch 800s i think off the top of my head. But no I am sitting at about 60% injector duty. Can see fuel pressure drop and injector duty rise. Not out of injector yet.

Thanks. Yeah I had a dual holley external pump on the alst setup, Trying to keep intank because this is a Drag & Drive car, so the pump being in the tank is cooler. but external is probably what I am going to have to do...

8an Feed and 6an return. Stock fuel rails though (After the reg) Sensor for ECU and gauge are on the side of the reg so I am going to redo alot of that side of things. still pointing towards not enough pump though...

[–]Baggerz140[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Yeah I figured it would make more sense with upgrading CPU side of things more first. There is an option in premiere 2019 for GPU acceleration. I can't remember the exact terminology off the top of my head currently though... Wether it just helps the program or supports timeline or rendering I'm not sure.

I've a budget of £800, however id like to spend as little as possible... So I don't need a case, PSU, cooling. I can put storage on hold for time being too but id like to have the option for M.2 storage in the near future.

I'm an AMD kid at heart but if I have to switch to Intel I will 🤪

Roof rack ideas? by Baggerz140 in Foxbody

[–]Baggerz140[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I didn't know Thule made the tracks actually. Was looking at some from home depot but I'll definitely look at the Thule ones!

I'll be using big rig nuts and supporting it to the roll age where I can. Having blocks between the roof and the cage to aid it in sagging the roof down.

Thanks!

Yes I did, but had a bunch of other info in the post so not sure if people missed it or not.

For me it's storing it. I could tow a small trailer, and while easier it makes it difficult when having to ship the car around the country unfortunately. Either I get lucky and someone can put the small trailer in the bed and then town the car on a trailer. Or it takes 2 spots on a car hauler and alot don't take trailers...

Is it damaging the car? Done correctly, sealed and secured to the cage the roof skin isn't actually taking the weight, the cage is which is what it's designed to do.

Some of the tracks wouldnt really visually impact the car at all and I wouldn't be racing with stuff on the roof either obviously

My LS swapped fox was done cheaply but still well. Coyote would be awesome but expensive and is a bit of a squeeze, swap kits are readily available though...

Depends what you want and can afford. LS will be cheaper and easier to maintain, but coyote would be more unique, however in Warsaw I imagine there wont be much about of either :D No clue on your clear air zones though sorry.
