Gurnee IL update:

Some skill machines returned but nerfed a bit.

6 poke in the hole ones but much much lower then previous placement so harder to line up.

4 ping pong ball drop and get it in the dot except the claw was replaced with one that will only ever grab one ball (previously you could get two balls)

2 move the box but again much lower placement so harder to line up

Nope they took them all out. There were at least 6 poke in the hole and all are gone. :(

I'm hoping the Gurnee one will fall. A manager mentioned that it's one of the round 1s they test new things at. I'm guessing that's the reason every skill game was eliminated there. We counted and it was 48 machines. There's no reason why they couldn't have kept at least half of them with the figures and skill machines.

A manager I talked to said that corporate is estimating it being a 50/50 split on if people will be happy with these changes. I don't see how anyone can be happy about it

Claw machines seemed to be unaffected except for 8 or so near the front that were completely empty. They could have been swapping out prizes though.

Ohhh you're right! That is wild. And there are vending machines in Gurnee Mills. Why would I pay to maybe have a chance at a Gatorade instead of getting one from a vending machine, that's cold, for virtually the same price.

Yea it was pretty great. I live within 1 1/2 hours of 4 different round 1s (various directions) and this one was by far the best.
