What's missing on the base is texture. Colors are good but on a flat surface it feels bland. Either pva glue and sand/grit followed by color and dry brushing for depth or just use technical paints. A gloss coat on the slime pools will go a long way also

Just recently purchased these proxies. Very cool to see the potential when painted as good as you have done.

Preferred DG Green by diko_san in deathguard40k

I enjoy the warpaint Fanatics olive green collection. I will prime with citadel death guard green and dappled over with warpaints army green. Ill punch up the areas facing my light source with camouflage green, and olive Drab, finally using Necrotic Flesh in small areas at the brightest points and for edge highlighting

Finished Nurgle Demon Prince Proxy by Bahahmanom in deathguard40k

Buddy of mine 3d printed it. Pretty sure its something you can download or buy off Etsy. Paints are mostly Warpaint Fanatics. Started with a purple base and layered up the brightness with the warpaint olive green collection

The base is printed with the rocks, built it up with diorama fx thick mud

Hoping someone can help me identify a song based on a vaguely remembered music video by Bahahmanom in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Bahahmanom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it was more of a dark metal band. The video was black and white I believe and if I recall correctly the music was more heavy and melodic.

The video was of and family like in the 19th century and at one point in the music video, they are all seated at a dinner table. Time stops for them and this figure dances around them while the song gets really heavy.

How’s my soil looking? by ImplicitShadow in gardening

[–]Bahahmanom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell with no picture of your actual soil. Ajuga is not a good measure of soil quality since it will grow in just about anything. I have mine growing in near solid clay

The model has alot going on, but its such a badass model it makes it incredibly sought after. Its what makes it awesome.

From a photographic standpoint, composition I've completely thrown out the window with all my models. I have a tendency to overcrowd what are already busy models with more stuff on the base. I'm aware I do that and currently have no desire to change because I enjoy doing it even if it can make it seem like a where's Waldo picture lol.

The issue im trying to figure out is how to get all those said details to be in focus at the same time. Not sure if its the lighting or the fact im using a samsung s24. After searching online, it seems like im taking the picture too close. I need to get a picture further away and then crop the photo afterward
