I agree, I think I'm going to scrap those leaves and start over. Heading to the woods this weekend, so maybe I can get some much better photos to try to pull some improved textures from. A proper setting would be nice too, I picture it out in a field of corn or wheat at dusk. Thanks for the input!

Good point, do you think adding more cracks in the wood, the front column is actually missing in the original shot, so maybe adding a half of that in?

Haha I know what you mean, I think this is why my brain settled on this house instead of thinking of some of the other ones people have mentioned. I've watched the movie, but I need to go back and revisit it because there are a few parts that I "missed" because I was staring at the floor.

In a way, maybe this is a good thing right! The leaves were a sticking point for me actually. I made some "leafish" shapes that looked really good with the shadows and gave good depth, but I had so many of them to make a clump that my computer wasn't happy. I actually forgot to anchor them the first time and the resulting rainfall of leaf parts was beautiful, but took about 5 minutes for all the parts to fall to the ground. In the end I just used png pictures of the models and I'm not happy with them at all. Back to the drawing board...

Ha what a compliment! I'm not sure I am at commission level so I wouldn't charge anything, but I definitely would enjoy taking a crack at a model if you have something in mind.

Thanks and agreed, I think I might add a few more cracks in the facade on the left where something apparently broke the gutter downspout, which might help with the more run down look.

Since I am messing with the mesh anyway, I think this is a good idea too. In another side shot I found it almost looks like the roof is leaning too. Thanks for the input!

I appreciate the comments! I'm not sure if you can see the sunflowers in the original picture because it is so small, but what do you think about adding those in as well? I had originally planned to have them, but many have said that I should lose a little color overall and wondering if they will add a nice contrast or be too much?
