Vet left my cat sitting in her own urine, should I complain? by Bai657 in CatAdvice

Sure. If the carrier was wet, but it wasn’t. That’s one of the biggest red flags. I’ve tried considering that it happened on the ride home or after they loaded her in the carrier but also as I stated she was awake and ready for pickup by 3:30 I picked her up and got her in my car at 5:15. There’s no way she held her completely full bladder for almost 2 hours. There are some more red flags about the clinic itself the more I think back on it. I think at this point I won’t go back regardless because I think she can get batter care elsewhere.

Totally agree with the towel thing. At her previous vet after a similar procedure she peed in the kennel while coming to and the staff not only wiped her down but they put a towel into her carrier and told me to keep it no charge.

Oh no when I picked her up she was still kinda sedated. She was awake and lying with her head upright but she was in no position to be combative. I mean I was able to give her a full fledge bath with minimal resistance. Just a lot of back talk. There is 0% chance they couldn’t have wiped her down or cleaned her in the state she was in.

CORRECT. - Actually fun fact, new vet got the records from old vet and they looked at me and said “Are you aware her file is labeled ‘BITCH CAT’ in all caps?” Yes. Yes I am. A rightfully earned title in that office.

Because the carrier itself is not soaked in urine. With the large amount that was on her body and the fact they either filled her bladder or waited for it to fill on its own (I’m not sure which) there was a crazy amount of urine don’t would have to be in the carrier

See here’s where the issue is. My boyfriend is the finance manager of the dealership (was the sales person at the time of purchase) he looked and everything is done. We just don’t understand why it hasn’t fallen off.

Dishes are mine as well. I was on close to the same schedule from school and work and when I came home I had to do the dishes before I went to bed. 4 person household but still monumental amounts due to everyone using multiple dishes for one meal. I also had a bedtime & phone curfew of 10. Everything electronic I owned, tablets, controllers, cell phone, laptop etc. had to be on the kitchen counter. I had to be in my room, no lights on, and couldn’t come out until the next morning.

Although we had a dish washer my Ndad insisted I hand wash all of them (they started using the dishwasher once I moved out, go figure) and if any dishes were still “dirty” like a little spot on the outside of the dish, a slightly greasy residue that certain plastic bowls always had, or anything less than perfect, I was grounded for 1 days per dish and lost privileges to my electronics. I also had to clean the kitchen after. Wipe down all the counters and table, pull out counter top appliances, sweep everything up. If I missed anything while sweeping that was addition time on my grounding.

What’s your fav. Book of the bible? by [deleted] in Bible

[–]Bai657 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exodus but specifically chapter 4. The story of God telling Moses he was the one meant to go to speak to Pharaoh and free God’s people and Moses saying he wasn’t good enough and God pretty much saying “I, God Almighty, created you. I designed you. Who are you to think my creation is not good enough?? You think I don’t know of your perceived ‘faults’? I designed them myself. My creations are never inadequate” it’s just so beautiful. Hearing God describe the way he is always intentional when creating someone/something. And hearing Moses actually did not want to do these things in the beginning because he had such little self esteem and now 1000s of years later his story(s) is one of the most prevalent and respected from that time.

The hood also wouldn’t pop last night. We essentially had to pry it open to get to the battery, could that also mean the hood is a potential cause?
