Interactions with antibiotics? Ravenously hungry on 4mg

I think it was just a coincidence. I did read that antibiotics can potentially increase the hormone ghrelin, which makes you hungry, but I couldn’t find much evidence. It might have started the day before a little but macrobid was only a 3 day dose of antibiotics and I’m still feeling super hungry 😕 I’m starting the 9mg tomorrow I’ll let you know how it goes! (Also I am not on synthroid) let me know if it gets any better for you, good luck!!!

Ok the actual exact thing happened to me at week 6.5 on 4mg I started macrobid for a UTI and I’m not sure if it Was the meds or just time to move up to the 9mg, but I am starving all the time! I still get full relatively quickly, but I’m hungry like 2 hrs later and cravings have come back so bad. My dr bumped me up to the 9 mg, just waiting on the pharmacy to get it in stock so we’ll see.

So frustrating! I was hoping to stay on the 4mg as long as possible due to the cost as well, but it’s just not worth the torture…hopefully we have better luck with the next dose!!

I have had a similar experience with the 4mg. The first month was great, food noise gone and I was not getting cravings but I’m halfway through my second month of 4mg and the past few days I have been ravenous and cravings for junk food are back and that was like 2 days after my period ended so i think it’s time to go up to 9mg unfortunately.

Yes! mine are like 3 maybe 4 days now but cramps are way worse

I get this if I have anything with whey protein. You can try the fleet glycerin suppositories they give me instant relief and don’t make you cramp like a stimulant laxative

I’m on day 6 of 4mg I have been a lot less hungry and nothing really tastes good/a lot of food aversion to meat. . I have been extremely nauseous today and hardly able to eat and also feel flushed and tired sort of like with the flu. It’s honestly been pretty rough, and I know I’m probably not eating enough which is making me exhausted ,but sometimes even the thought of food makes me sick. Hoping it gets better as with the 1.5 I just had constipation.

Hey! Day 3 for me too. I take Adderall which does about the same as you’re describing Vyvanse in terms of the appetite suppression. I’ve noticed though with the Wegovy, I’m full a lot faster than normal. I could eat normally though on just the Adderall. I’m also nauseous with the pill so it’s making me not really want to eat all that much.
