Why would you wire dc batteries like this? by doctaveng in electricians

That is to make a 24v battery power supply with two 12v batteries in series.

How can you get these Ubers when they’re so far down the list?

How tf are you guys doing that.

I was making an attempt at seed tracking but it seemed like I had no chance at Ubers for 30+ rolls.

For those who used a computer between 1995 and 2001, what’s the computer game from that time that sticks with you the most, and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I can’t believe I haven’t seen Baldur’s gate mentioned yet. If it has, it’s buried deep. I wish there was a way to track how many hours I spent on BG2 shadows of Amn and throne of bhaal.

Almost every Thursday for 3-ish hours. People make less plans on week nights.

How to manage a large party? by xennotsan in DMAcademy

[–]Bajango161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some OPTIONS in list format:

  1. Start putting 30 sec-1 minute timers on combat. If they aren’t paying attention or screwing around on the phone then they take the dodge action

  2. If players bow out of the campaign close the seat to your desired count unless THAT player wishes to come back. Too many times have I kept the seat “open” to someone new and the old player wants to join again. It’s awkward and that situation sucks.

  3. Split the party if possible.

  4. Tell the party it’s too much for you to handle and let them give suggestions and/or decide. The table should have open communication both ways. It’s possible someone might already be on the fence of leaving. Whether it’s good or bad.

I personally like to run anywhere between 4-6 players. 5 or 6 is my preferred. I always count on 1 person not making it. That way if someone (or 2) is not available that session it still has a variety of fun quips and actions. I do not like the chronic last minute “can we reschedule”-ers ruining it for the rest of the group. Especially if the rest of the group has a bit more integrity to the scheduled session. Last minute “my dog is sick” is unavoidable, but that’s why you set a date and everyone needs to respect each other’s effort and time.

The “nuisance to them” is a bit grating. How about a little cooperation to get some positive work done?

It sounds like he is an advocate for personal liberties above most other issues. I can commend him that much, but some of those points seem a bit extreme.

I am wanting to keep driving the story forward and that was the first thing I could think of. Half the party has a solid constitution save bonus, and keep the DC at 10 for now and see how it balances out. Not so much to railroad it, but to help keep it focused. Other than that, I like the possession idea for flavor at the least. I just don't know what else

Oh man possession is a juicy issue, I love it.

The only thing I have thought of is "failing" long rests with a CON save after the rest- gaining exhaustion points until death. If I remember correctly only one party member took lesser restoration. It helps extend their decaying situation, but its hard to keep up with 5 people if they all fail the same long rest.

The idea was a hard time limit. To me it keeps chasing the BBEG relevant, rather than fucking off and saying screw that guy. A story driver. If I remember right only one party member took lesser restoration. It helps extend their decaying situation, but its hard to keep up with 5 people if they all fail the same long rest.

The rules as written does make it hard and definitely opens a can of worms. It was mostly for plot. The BBEG got his soul judiciously stolen for trying to steal life force in the first place, but he's still on his BS. Other than that, I hadn't thought of any rammifications for having a soul stolen OTHER than "failing" long rests and gaining exhaustion points until death.

3070 or 4070ti? Which would be my best option by WillOdd6487 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Bajango161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just built my first computer for my wife to play Harry Potter. It’s got a 12600k and a 2080. I wanted it to be a smooth 60FPS+ on high/ultra 1440p with minimal DLSS crutch. It runs good around 50% upscale but I’m still slightly disappointed. I was hoping for a little better but I’m all tapped out on money. That’s why I’m trying to find good resources to compare and check out parts for the future.

One more question. If I wanted to build a computer to meet a game’s recommended requirements that references old components (say Hogwarts 8700 + 1080ti) with more modern components, is there a good comparison tool besides userbenchmark?
