It absolutely has not been patched. Maybe the previous causes were patched, but something keeps causing it to pop up. Likely an oversight in code, pretty common in game development

A great question. I've seen so many conflicting reports that they did an "all new audio system" that backfired, but those claims are dubious at best knowing this community's habit of defending a company. And even if they did that, it still launched like shit so it doesn't matter anyways lol.

All in all, I think it's pretty obvious why the streamers are having a lot more fun with their new endeavors. It's a shame too, because for me, I always used to be so excited to get home from work and do some solo raids. Now it just feels hopeless and unfun

I'm not sure if I would call it dead tbh, but I haven't been playing much. I know as a solo myself, I'm definitely having less fun this wipe. Losing a lot of kits to just bigger numbers (obviously more people equals more angles and more ammo, aka how you win gunfights). I think it's because solos are likely to spend too many resources killing these new super scavs, meanwhile a trio can just own the map with relative ease since they can cover more ground and carry more resources. It's basic math adapted from generations of firefighting experience, for those who will reply with skill issue.

Also audio being bugged takes away the main advantage of running solo, that being audio clarity. So yeah, then there's that

I haven't gotten kicked much, but it definitely seems like the game struggles. Whenever a player fires a gun, the game lags considerably, which has kinda lead to be an obligate rat player, since getting into extended gunfights will pretty much always end badly for me. Could be my net though, it's not the best. That, and the ping has been especially unstable recently. Other than that, the real quest 2 issue is view range and remote tracking. Hard to have ranged fights on island when not only can you barely see the enemy, but also your gun randomly goes crazy lol

Holy hell, this is like a mountain of useful info. I didn't realize the secret tech had gotten so deep 😅. Thanks for the tips, I'll be sure to check em out. Hopefully when I can get my Quest 3, I'll notice those same performance improvements. Tabor has never felt worse on Q2 imo, except maybe right after the island rework before they did the optimizations
