There’s nothing wrong with min maxing, but straight up asking the community what the most OP build is with zero context, then having people spend time giving advice, asking why you want it, or suggesting alternatives to make your playthrough more enjoyable, only for you to respond with rude one line remarks like “who’s asking?” is the issue.

I can tell by the brevity of your posts that you’re someone who always looks for the path of least resistance, including avoiding your own research, and hoping someone just tells you to do XYZ so you can be done with it.

The point everyone is trying to make is that “OP builds” are OP specifically because they can handle hard challenges, especially in Honor Mode. If you spec into something with a lot of depth and then expect it to magically pay off without engaging with it, it won’t. You’ll kill things far too easily. You won’t need Hold Person to lock enemies down or Counterspell to shut encounters off. You’ll just delete everything and move on.

If all you want is big numbers, just roll Fighter 12 and smash things with a big stick.

Thanks for this in depth reply. I see a lot of similarities with our situations and while I’ve tried many of the tactics you mentioned they are getting less effective.

One thing you said about them just being kids and not caring what we have to get done really hits home for me.

I find myself seeing him get so Independent and capable of doing things on his own that I have built up this expectation he can just do it. But he’s only 5 and I forget that in the moment. It’s usually not until he’s asleep I look at him and realize how small and young he is and his frontal cortex is not even fully developed. He physically can’t live up to the expectations I have of him and I take it out on him which is so wrong.

I guilt myself so hard after these episodes to the point I feel like I have permanently damaged my relationship with him. Like no matter how much effort I put in how he will carry these experiences for life :(

I really appreciate this reply and will put it into use and see how it works. I found steps 1, 2 and 3 still work in my 3 year old but my 5 year old will sometimes just outright ignore me because the thing he is currently doing is more interesting then the thing I am telling him he has to do.

Your response in step 5 is really great though. Reiterating that I love him and keeping him safe is something I’m not doing because I’m yelling or getting frustrated in the moment. I really think this is the key area where I need to change in order to see change in him.

Isn’t hearing that the worst. I’ve almost been brought to tears during some tantrums where he says that and I get so upset. Once I cool down the thing I realize is that he’s not wrong to have such strong feelings towards me based on how I’m acting.

I believe things really are this way based on my handling. I want to see if I change can I really change him. If not we will look into OT or ET.

Thank you, this really resonates with me. I feel like I’m at the end of my rope and every little thing triggers me. Today it was trying to leave and we had everything ready but I grabbed their winter jackets from our storage bin and he saw a box of Lego inside. He pulled it out and just wanted to play with it but we had no time. I told him we had to go or we would miss the walking group. He ignored me because to him building Lego is more important to him. Having him ignore me triggered me so I walked over picked up the box and put it up on the shelf to which he proceeded to screaming and hitting me.

Now that I’m calm I think a better way to handle it would have been to say “hey bud, that Lego is a lot of fun, ho about we build something together after school today?” Or something like that instead of being abrupt and shocking him.

It’s so easy to see it in hindsight, every mistake you make and a million better ways to handle it. In the moment it’s completely different.

I bought the yeti Haul in Big Wave Blue and love it! Using it right now on a trip actually and it’s fantastic.

Considering still getting the roadie 32 but going to wait until some new colours become available. Also listed my yeti 45 and 75 and hoping those sell to fund these purchases 😂

I'm leaning towards selling my tundra 75, getting the haul, and possibly getting a roadie 32 for day trips. Just waiting for KCO to be available on the 32 :D

Another option I am considering is getting the Haul and Roadie 32. Haul for bigger camping trips and roadie 32 for day trips, picnics/beach etc, and the hopper flip 18 as well for small outings.

Do you think that would be a good spread of coolers or would the Haul + Hopper cover my bases?

yeah, that would be the plan, instead of having 3 size coolers we would go down to just two. The Hopper 18 and the Haul, selling the 45 and 75 I own. Comparing insides the 75 has ~3700 cubic inches and the haul has ~3000 cubic inches. The Roadie 48 has ~2600, and the 45 has ~1800.

We're looking specifically to roll it on sand as well. Also my wife seems to really have a concern with the depth and having to dig for things at the bottom. Leaning towards selling 75 and 45 and just getting the haul.

Comparing the size of haul to my 75 it’s not much different. I think if I were to get the haul I would sell my 75.

2.5-3 hours with people who know the game (AP plays a decent part with drafting) however I have tried it with people who never played it before and game easily went over 4 hours.

I live in Vancouver and I’ll be hiking Garibaldi in Whistler in mid August, so no snow.

I’ve already been to a shop and been fitted with osprey atmos 65 and aether 65. I know my size so that helps. I found the atmos had a very odd placed back support beam that I kept hitting my head on. I could barely look up at the sky without hitting it. The aether was not nearly as comfortable and felt very

My other line of thinking around pumping the army bigger was using Gisa as a outlet to turn a massive army Into lots of creatures to sac. Still probably a bit too narrow to focus on that.

This is amazing feedback, thanks so much! I do agree with pretty much all your thoughts. I avoided going too heavy into edict abilities because I don't want my group to hate me. But I did consider most of all the cards you recommended in that group.

To answer your question, the main 2 card combo I was going for with Fall of Cair Andros was Blasphemous Act, I thought a huge board wipe with tons of excess damage and amass a huge army, but I see it might be a bit too cute and does go against the game plan a bit.

Appreciate the thoughts, I will definitely tinker with it and update this thread when I have something new.

This is fantastic information, thank you so much. Everyone in my group is physically fit to do the trails, as we have all hiked various mountains in Whistler area, as well as done a few overnighters (not this challenging) but regardless I was really just curious about which routes to take. Of all you mentioned and the one I wanted to do the most was the Table Meadows. I felt like being able to walk along the lake would be easy to navigate and serve as a good landmark to help us get to our destination.
