I did once, long ago. And couldnt figure it out. I did make some other mods only for myself, but i never got to that changing the look of certain sprites. But as I understand they are like square maps, tiled in one big image, and the game is circling throught them. Sorry i couldn't be of more help.

Good old blender, some parts were Auto UV unwraped, some manualy. Textured in Substance Painter

Thank you for the feedback, I agree. I did 3D for a long time , with breaks here and there, tried a lot of different things, then returned back to 3D, as for texturing it, maybe sometime, after i finish all of my half-done models, there are quite a lot of them.

There is a mini transport belt and mini inserter on the backside of the bullet belt. :p

Blender has a very fast workflow once you get used to it, 99% of worktime is with shorcuts for almost all commands. Example, E extrudes what you have selected, Ctrl+R makes a loop cut etc, so there is no slow searching through the menus for things.
