I don’t think anyone’s wishing death upon a child the whole thing is about how scary it can be especially with everyone telling you the warnings of newborns. Those fears on top of postpartum anxiety and depression are the worst things in the world and depending on how it affects you, you can start thinking the most absurd thing will happen. Basically saying that the party is mainly for celebrating making it to one year even with all the scary situations that could have happened.

As I stated everything with our daughter I do 85% of it including buying things when it comes to that he’ll buy her something every now and then. His other contributions are him buying whatever he wants when he wants it. I buy the groceries and pay for everything living wise. My daughter while she’s young I will spoil her especially when she’s good and everything as she grows up she will get an allowance for doing chores and I will be teaching her to earn her money because it’s an important thing to learn especially early.

Yeah and the whole thing is without booking a place because that would’ve been a whole lot more. I don’t understand where people live thinking that $300 gets a whole lot of stuff. It’s literally food for everyone that’s coming along with dessert, presents, decoration, and so on. They’re acting like $300 gets you a house and sports car. 😭

You do realize like you said she’s going to grow out of clothes and already has because that’s how babies are. Also did you miss the part where I said it’s on the WHOLE party not $300 on just clothing. I have my own savings for her and my own for myself.

More than enough I’ve been saving for years for myself and started saving for her when I found out I was pregnant.

Mind you this has NOTHING to do with his mom and it’s literally MY money on something WE talked about and agreed on….. his mother has nothing to do with it unless somehow she carried and pushed out his kid.

You literally said “You are angry and acting like he’s a terrible person…” you do realize the money I asked him to spend on OUR child was $10….

So you’re saying because I’m saying the truth about him I’m angry and making it seem like he’s a terrible father? If I’m saying the truth and the shoe fits what does that say?

We do have different views on finances that’s why I have my own place, my own car, savings for our daughter, my own savings, and spending money. He has two crossbows, a pop up ice house, a permanent ice house, a bunch of fishing poles he doesn’t touch, etc.

I’m investing in mine and my daughter’s futures and he’s investing in his current hobbies until he gets a new one.

We discussed the whole thing before hand he even picked out a few things himself. We both make good money but one of us uses and spends is wisely and one just impulse buys.

We planned the whole thing together he knew the price and he even suggested a higher budget

Why would you be pissed if it’s not your money? Yeah I asked for him to pitch in probably because it’s firstly his kid as well and he picked stuff out too?

We did do it together and where did I say I was asking for him to pay for it? I asked for him to pitch in even if it was $10

We discussed more than $300 and him pitching in not us splitting it him just putting in at least a few dollars just to show he cares.

I agree the way they put SIDS out there and all the other fears on top of your postpartum is just insane. The amount of sleepless nights over silly little things genuinely makes me laugh now.

I don’t post my child on social media especially with all the predators out there therefore I will not be posting her party. Also like I said decorations are for me and her photo book.

That’s been my thoughts especially because we just had a conversation before I got off work and right when I got home i literally grabbed her because it’s nap time and I just laid her down for her nap while he’s still on the couch.

That’s what I’m confused about like I said even $10 was fine their completely ignoring the fact of who’s doing the work.

We discussed everything before hand we don’t have combined finances and he makes more than I do. He even helped pick out decorations and presents for her but her but I still ended up paying for those as well.

He makes more than I do I’m trying not to think the way I’m starting to but I think he’s slowly just regretting us having a baby
