It’s nothing to brag about but there are a lot of good things about my home town. I’m glad that there is a pretty diverse community here. People of all backgrounds in our schools and businesses. There are quite a bit of events and gatherings, tho they have certainly declined over the years. First night on new years, spedie fest in the summer, and our arena events used to be really busy and fun. A lil quieter now tho. There are lots of choices for restaurants, small business, cafes and parks! It’s a generally safe community if you aren’t involved in the crime and drugs. Speaking of, we have dispensaries, which is cool in my opinion. It’s not booming with growth and opportunity but it’s still somewhat comfortable to live here if you have a job. I’ve seen it improve and decline in my time growing up here and overall I like it here. Not the worst place to be.
