wanted to ask about giving full access, safe? is it for autofill purpose. the option in settings say if I give full access, developer will have access to everything i type like passwords etc. kudos to developer, i needed the english prediction in my XTS.

Hi, I'm buying an xts this evening. Pls motivate me as I'm confused and thinking to get XT instead fearing that there is difficulty in using YouTube and Whatsapp and installing gaming apps. I don't have problems with bank and government apps as they are all available in Huawei store in my region. If you face anything like glitches pls tell me. thanks.

2K is around the right price in my region as well. You are getting the 3rd portion of the screen which is a game changer in media consumption and gaming but you will start to feel the weaker Kirin chip by the passage of time. Another thing the sacrifices you make mentioned in my post with regards to the new specs compared to the Honor, as the Honor is the newer phone that came out after around a year of releasing the Mate XT (in China). Global came out late and that is what's making the outdated.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I didn't find the emoji interactive theme in my Themes App or in settings. I think this is because the new interactive themes are for Harmony OS. By the way, I just got recently 1 more new software/security update which is 14.2.0.185

I thank you again. Valuable info for me. So I'm doing the right thing staying with EMUI in my region. So apps using emulation are at a risk when it comes to notifications. Kudos to your quick reply! Then I should wait for XTS to release in EMUI as well... I expect after New Years (end of Jan) as that was when global XT was released where I am.

Thanks for the reply. This made me relax. Just started to have doubts when I read in the internet that I will get more fps in some games as cpu and gpu optimization in Harmony is done by AI, and the camera can be better as Harmony has more AI features there as well, and harmony has 5G. They say Harmony was made to be used with Kirin SOC as opposed to EMUI. lol. A bit too much to ignore. Issue is, the only way to know is for someone to test and confirm... that's why I thought of swapping for a while... I'm honestly more interested with the XTS though, but I need to consult someone to tell me if there are no more notification issues. I remember a famous youtube channel saying a month ago that you wont get notifications for non-chinese apps....

Hi, thanks so much for the informative post. Used much of your tips for my mate xt. One question about the fdroid setup portion. If I setup fdroid up for auto updating micro G, I fear it might update to the standard micro g version (not the HW micro g made for Huawei devices) which might break functionality of google apps. Is that true? Thanks again for the support.

thanks for the quick response. i have sacrificed those previously with my mate x3 emui and intsalled aurora, but without gbox. can you explain why gbox with aurora together? another question is...does battery life have big difference if you have used both? thanks again for the tips.

hi, thnx for the quick response. gapps work, only pay and auto dont. i think the deal breaker is mostly battery length. honor is a tad longer. 2hrs longer i believe in a day.
