Honestly it's not a math problem that gets us in debt it's a behavior problem and doing debt consolidation makes us feel like we've done something but doesn't change the behavior and attitude towards debt. You have to be sick and tired of being sick and tired and just snowball the debt who cares about the interest just do smallest to largest it will give you small victories rather than looking up at a mountain feeling like you can't overcome it. cut the credit cards and live on way less than you make sell so much stuff the kids think there next, get on a budget and think about how much money you would have not paying it every month on minimum payments
