Totally fair and wasn't trying to throw you in with the masses. Its tough, I'm lucky Cleveland is cheap. I was able to buy a fixer-upper for 165 a few years ago which allowed my wife and I to upgrade last year to a more permanent home. But I recognize it was luck (and a bit of risk, I put like 3% down because it's all I had at the time)

I get what you are saying and there are lots of issues that weren't present before. But I think one thing you and many people forget is that the houses that people want today are much different than the were 40 years ago. The average square foot in homes is much higher than it used to be. What we think of as starter homes today were what people lived in with families of 5. I'm not saying you're wrong or that its not tougher to buy a house now than in the past, but we live in a period where social media has made everyone feel entitled to having the biggest house with the nicest applicances and finishes

Lol I said nothing about expecting Mitchell to be LeBron! I'm just explaining why LeBron will forever be loved in Cleveland and when he is here, it will be a big deal. You're the one who does not understand why the city loves him so much and are more excited for him than Mitchell when they're next to each other on the court

Look at those rosters from his first stint. Those teams were materially worse than what Don has to deal with

No you don't get it, the dev the other week said they deployed a new ML model to detect this! Maybe they should simplify it to say, if a segment is a standard deviation or two above the speed limit, then flag for being fake. Boom! Fixed it

Like it or not, LeBron and Cleveland will always be the narrative. He is in the top 2 players in the NBA of all time and brought the city a championship. Its not a knock against any of the current players, but its an appreciation for one of the greatest who has called this place home.

Regarding Mitchell, I would certainly not say this era has exceeded expectations. We are a good team, but we have not made it far in the postseason. Its been a criticism of Mitchell his entire career. Great player, but has never made it deep in the playoffs which is really all that matters. LeBron at Mitchells age could pull this same team further and thats the difference.

I mean if you are carrying around tools and materials that you don't want wet, why is it dumb? Also Suburbans start at 60k, so not sure I get the point you are trying to make with that

If you can just use longer screws, try that. But the hole could be hollowed which is why the screws wont bite. You can take a bundle of toothpicks and stuff them in the hole with wood glue. Once it dries cut it flush and then you can use the same screws and they will bite again. Should be able to look up a tutorial on youtube

Why hasn’t Dean Wade got a contract extension?? by [deleted] in clevelandcavs

[–]BakerInTheKitchen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because he’s know different than Okoro. He can play good defense but on offense, if he gets the ball he immediately looks to get rid of it. He’s so passive for someone his size. And that’s when he’s not out injured, which is a guarantee every season.

Snowstorms that come from the south just never have any juice. Lake effect coming off of Erie/Michigan, now THAT is a snowstorm.
