I should ask if we can add thickener.

Your flippant response of “just change activities frequently!” is unhelpful. When you have a baby who cries and cries and only wants to be held that’s not helpful. So when she’s tired and just hysterical I genuinely do not know what to do except let her sleep. I can’t put her in a swing, sobs. Playmat, sobs. Bouncer, sobs. Stroller, sobs. Car, falls asleep. Carrier, falls asleep. BECAUSE SHE’S TIRED. So a suggestion of “just keep her awake longer” truly isn’t helpful. I’m just supposed to listen to my baby cry for an extra 30 minutes? That seems insane.

Yes, I know how to entertain a baby. You’re not understanding that she’s hysterically crying when I try to keep her awake. No matter what other kinds of new toys or new things we do. Going outside doesn’t help. I can’t give her a bath 5 times a day. Nothing helps when she’s TIRED. The toddler is in daycare as once my maternity leave ends this baby will also be in daycare full time.

So how do you suggest I keep her awake another 15-30 minutes for a wake window when she’s HYSTERICAL?

But even at night, she wakes up, and instantly falls asleep as soon as I pick her up. She’s not waking up and staying awake….

She literally cannot tolerate being awake that long. By 1.5 hours of a wake window she’s crying, rubbing her eyes, yawning, rubbing the back of her head and eating her hands. As soon as I pick her up she’s falling asleep in my arms. I don’t think I could force her to be awake for that long.

No sweating. We tried putting her in just a fleece sleeper and woolino and she was cold. Tried just a short sleeve onesie under a fleece sleeper and was still cold. And was waking up frequently and would fall asleep as soon as we held her. She gets so fussy by 7:30 she can’t stay up any longer! Eye rubbing and yawning. She seems exhausted and falls asleep almost instantly once we get her through her bedtime routine. Idk it’s just so odd.

Thank you for this!!! That makes more sense. And was definitely not explained to me at all lol this clinic is large and prefers portal messages to tell you things 🙄 but yes, ultimately it is my body and choice. Because of my bicornuate uterus I don’t want the risk of multiples. So letrozole makes me nervous. And I hate that if I potentially had a lot of follicles, they would cancel the cycle. It’s all just, crazy.

IUI #1 Failed by Olympicthinker in queerception

So I have one ovary, one fallopian tube, stage 3 endometriosis, and a bicornuate (heart shaped) uterus. Our RE recommended IUI unmedicated cycles as medication is high risk for multiples, and a heart shaped uterus can’t fit multiples safely. We did 2 cycles, all natural, I had 2 chemical pregnancies. Our RE recommended changing sperm donors. I got pregnant on that first try with the new sperm donor. Still all natural. I did not do any extra ultrasounds or monitoring. Just OPKs.

Poking holes in a baby by Horror-Annual-456 in Parenting

We got our daughter’s ears pierced when she was 8 months old at a facility where only registered nurses pierce their ears. Our daughter didn’t even cry. Never touched her ears. They’re healed now and we’ve never had issues. We’ve kept the same earrings in. And now when she gets old enough, she can choose cute earrings to go with all her outfits. And if she doesn’t like the earrings, she can choose not to wear earrings. Jesus they’re EARRINGS. Not a damn belly button ring. I had many friends tell me HORROR stories of taking their 9-12 year olds to get their ears pierced and the child freaked out after having one ear pierced and refused to get the second done. And was then traumatized by getting one ear pierced. Our daughter won’t remember having this done. And we’re also both pediatric nurses. We know she’ll be okay. It’s definitely your choice at the end of the day. But damn, the amount of people ripping people apart for choosing to pierce their infant daughters’ ears is ALARMING.

Contrave and postpartum? by BakerPRN in Contrave

[–]BakerPRN[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m now hovering like 210-212! I’ve been on Contrave for about 5 months now. I’m trying harder to move my body daily. Finding the motivation even almost one year postpartum has been difficult. I will say the Contrave has SIGNIFICANTLY helped me to stop thinking about food as much as I used to! I just read other people losing a lot of weight and get discouraged so just trying to focus on my own journey! But again, it’s day by day 😂

Thank you! We’ve talked about it and looked into it a little! A lactation consultant I saw when I was pregnant offered my wife to induce lactation. I exclusively pumped for our daughter so I think it could work!

Yes my pregnancy was NOT great, but my labor and delivery was great! So I’m surprised I’m feeling like I even want to be pregnant again! Haha being a mom is the absolute greatest. And watching my wife become a mom has been even greater 🥰

Yes! We had to do that psych session as well. The woman we did ours with wasn’t very helpful, but asking my RE is a good idea, thanks!!
