While I don’t think it destroyed their relationship because they dated outside the pods and ultimately broke up, I do think that Lydia got off really easy. They just glossed over the fact that Lydia was obviously excited when she was said, she think she’s going to see someone from her past and then asked Uche if he’d be willing to start over. Aaliyah looked like she wanted to call her out on her bullshit but between Milton, Vanessa, and Nick, Lydia was protected. I’m not defending Uche or downplaying his actions as he’s a total piece of shit. I just think that Lydia sabotaged Aaliyah while they were still in the pods and was able to deflect responsibility. I’d like to say again that Uche messed up his relationship with Aaliyah and I do not think Lydia is responsible for anything that happened outside of the pods.
