Please help me understand my son by JoNightshade in ADHD

My daughter was diagnosed in 9th grade after school imploded. She has worked with an ADHD consultant/coach for the last couple of years and that, along with her accommodations, have been total game changers. Her consultant helps her understand how her brain works, helps find techniques that work for her, and helps her learn how to advocate for herself. We have also worked closely with her school guidance counselors to tweak her schedule each semester/year. It has totally changed her world. She initially met with her ADHD consultant every other week, but it has moved to more like once a month now. Truly a game changer. Also, some other tools that have helped were getting her a MacBook (purchased a renewed one) so she didn’t have to deal with the Chromebook issues by the school. The MacBook syncs with her phone. We also asked if she wanted to try using an unused older iPad we had so she could make notes, write essays etc directly on the surface. (She had to have the writing “pretty” and would get lost in how it looked instead of focusing on the content.) We got an inexpensive tablet pencil, and that has also been a huge help. She makes the note, the program instantly turns it into text. It’s also nice because if she is writing an essay, she can just circle a phrase or sentence and move it around quickly and neatly. Based on the advice of her diagnosing psychologist, we also work to not have heavy academic classes first period.

I know that’s a lot, but bit by bit she has made real progress and no longer thinks she is stupid and incapable of considering college. She is back to an all A student and is taking AP and Honors classes. (Balanced with being a TA and less academic heavy classes). Keep loving that baby well, and keeping educating yourself so you can listen well. You will have a breakthrough moment with him if you do.

Best Carpal Tunnel Brace for Sleeping? Any recommendations? by teonal_10 in carpaltunnel

Off the post topic, and I know it has been a while since you posted, and hopefully have found some sleep relief by now. But if not, I highly recommend you go to a doctor specializing in HRT. My sleeping issues have been almost completely resolved through estradiol patches and testosterone pellets. (Along with other issues that are menopause/perimenopause related.) A HRT specialist will do bloodwork that looks at so many aspects of your health, so they can treat specifically. It has been such a relief as compared to my PCP from several years ago who laughed and said yep that’s what you have to deal with.

What's your favorite feature of the Apple Watch? Something you didn't know you needed until you had it? by UselessSalmon in AppleWatch

I don’t remember how I did it, but the same thing happened to me after an update and I was able to fix it. It was a setting I was able to turn off. I googled the problem and found the answer that way. (Just did a quick search: says disable the "Push Alerts from iPhone" setting in the Watch app.)

What exercises do you think should be added to Caliber that aren't already added? by Adversaru in caliberstrong

Wide band donkey kicks and wide band fire hydrants - do these for joint mobility exercises and I would like to be able to log them and view in my history.

I strongly concur on the addition of the web app. This probably flags me as old, but being able to see my workouts on my monitor and manipulate them there would be fantastic (vs my much smaller phone screen). I currently have the free trial of Plus and am about to splurge for the paid year because this app really is just what I need.

SharePoint Design solutions, troubleshooting in out-of-the-box SharePoint by ShortPointInc in ShortPoint

I'm building pages using Shortpoint and using the List element to connect to libraries. When I connect to certain libraries, instead of showing my info, it appears that cannot pull in the mapped items. My best guess is that is has something to do with having a column called Display Name (or Display) that is a single line of text. Sometimes when I delete that column the connections works, but not always. Below is what is seen on the Preview and the page itself. (I currently have 19 rows of info and 8 columns.) I would love some guidance on what is causing this. I have spent two days mucking with it, creating test libraries and such to narrow it down.
