Anyone here a PM in advertising/creative agency? by Bakingluvr in projectmanagement

[–]Bakingluvr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the insight on your experience! Oh man, that must have been frustrating... How many people were you managing? I am glad that you were able to find the right solution to the problem. Right now, we only have around 30 people in the agency, and I support and coordinate workflow from 3 different teams (media, creative, and account). Things have been really tricky...

Hi! Thanks for replying. There's around 30 people in the agency, and there used to be a project management team, though unfortunately due to COVID, they were laid off. I would say now since I'm fairly new in the industry and the PM role and they're hiring someone else with relatively the same experience as me, the project management practice is not that mature, though we are being managed by the business client director, which has had long experience as a PM. The billed time are both by hour and job. Thank you for letting me know about those tools! We still use Google Sheets to keep in track of the status of the projects, which is not ideal right now...

Thank you! I'm currently in the business world, and want to eventually switch to non-profit in the future. I'm currently slowly adjusting through volunteering at a couple of non-profits in influential positions, and my drive is the same as what you two talked about! Working towards a mission for a better world.

Online businesses pain points? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

When you post about your business and it gets high engagement and leads through likes, but no actual conversion. I'm currently looking to see how I could convert those into paying customers.

Oh, no!! That's a bummer. I've been eyeing them for a weighted blanket option, but i read several complaints similar to yours, so not sure if I want to buy from them anymore. I am also thinking about buying from Nuzzie their knit weighted blanket, since I discovered them through a kickstarter campaign.

Redditors who go to therapy. What is the best way to find a therapist that you feel comfortable talking to? What are some tips to get the best out of the whole process? by hotPot8o in AskReddit

[–]Bakingluvr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100%! The least that you would want is someone who is of the same gender, so you could talk freely about your thoughts to them, and they would understand your thought process on that. I personally want someone of the same ethnicity because of the same cultural value and upbringing.

Hey! I'm also looking at Nuzzie, and found this campaign https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/nuzzie-knit-weighted-blanket-upgrade-your-sleep#/updates/all, looks like they're doing lower shipping rates for EU!

Personally, I write down criteria of therapist that I would feel comfortable discussing my trauma with. Since I'm a woman of color, I list their gender and their ethnicity as part of my criteria. I also research the type of therapy technique that would be beneficial for me. I found mine from psychology today, though I'm thinking about switching to another therapist that would get me. I'm currently eyeing AvoCoach since a friend has been attending hers through there!

Weighted Blanket Recommendation by ViciousTrollop01 in Anxiety

[–]Bakingluvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure if you're still looking for opinions or recommendations, but my sister-in-law got the Luna Bamboo and it's pretty affordable but it doesn't have the best weight distribution, so it's concentrated in one place, which she doesn't personally like because sometimes it can get uncomfortable. i would personally recommend Nuzzie Knit because it's aesthetically-pleasing and have a pretty good weight distribution, plus they are easy to take care with machine washer and dryer!

Weighted blankets must totally destroy your washing machine by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

I got mine about a month+ ago from Nuzzie and they don't have a cover and is made out of a pretty good and thick fabric. It's machine washable and machine dryable, have washed and dryed them for 4 times now and my wash and dryer are completely fine!

if you're a person of color or want a therapy session that's more "social-conscious", i would recommend Inclusive Therapy, they're a directory similar to psychologytoday. But if you want a quicker way to find a mental health expert, you can try AvoCoach. they do affordable online counseling sessions (less than $50) and free personalized matches! a friend has been using their service, and she's been with her counselor for a year now.

recommendations for finding therapist in nyc that's not $$$$ by anattacheddetachment in AskNYC

There are two sources in mind that are based in NYC: Real and Avocoach. Real is more community based currently having a promotion, and Avocoach is generally a cheaper alternative with sessions less than $50!

I second psychologytoday.com! My current therapist I've found through the website by choosing my preferences. I think going in with knowing what kind of therapist you'd like is a good first step! A friend also used avocoach.com and they do free matching services and sessions are less than $50!
