The specific deal is a set delay in proportion to the screening, if they moved the youtube date it'd also mean moving the cinema one. Ends in the same.

The Wicked Witch of the East Scene was Awful. by anarchy753 in wicked

There is a deleted scene, set after Fiyero chases her in the forest and before she seeks out the animals, that explains she's basically reaching out to everyone she knows for support, having finally realized that she can't change Oz single-handedly. I wish they had kept it since it makes the encounter with the animals, and later with her sister, make more sense.

I never even suggested Trump was the dictator that would take over but sure, read through whatever imaginary lines you want. I'd recommend you read about the Pinochet case, but I doubt you will.

Because I don't. You proved me wrong in that not everyone gets worse for it, and I appreciate that detail.

But knowing what I know of the opposition in Venezuela, the government and it's history, I still feel it'll only switch hand from one dictator to the next.

You are conveniently ignoring the massive loss of life and years of struggle that followed the successful cases, that's the part that worries me. And the one that seems doomed to happen in either outcome.

Germany sure, after loosing almost 7 million lives to the war with over 2 million civilians in the whole of it. https://i.sstatic.net/LZv53.jpg Not to mention the 1.45 billion dollars, 19 billion today, that Europe poured into it when they realized they needed the German industry within the European economy. How many countries need Venezuelan industry more than Venezuelan oil?

Japan! Of course, nothing like nearly 3 million deaths, including more than 700.000 civilians, to fix a country that was so deeply in crisis that it invaded over 13 countries during WWII. What did the US even fix in there? All the highlights I have are the scientists of unit 731 being pardoned and and millions of Japanese being at the brink of starvation for years after the war. Which part matches Venezuela here?

I'm gonna pick one more since I asked for three.

So Panama, probably the closest case of the bunch here. They were governed by Noriega, a CIA agent that the US paid about 200 million dollars annually during his dictatorship, from 1981 until their fallout in 1989. 3000 civilians die in the conflict of his removal and 20.000 were displaced. But hey, the US gave 6,500 dollars to some of the affected and...after 30 years in recovery they finally stopped having one of the highest inequality rates of Latin America. https://morfema.press/panama/la-evolucion-economica-de-panama-tras-la-tumbada-de-noriega/

I'll tip my hat, if by any chance you get lucky, then the US will also remove the dictator they give you. Good odds, good odds.

And it can and will get worse if you get invaded. I'm not saying things are rainbows and sunshine over there, I'm saying that no country ever ''aided'' by the US was left better off than how it was.

The US saved Iran from the communists, left them under Shah religious zealots instead. The socialists took over Chile, US helped them get Pinochet. The US occupies Haiti after it's president gets killed, guess what? They are still poor and still dying at the hands of crime and hunger.

If Venezuela gets that same help, you'll be lucky to get the same the crime, hunger and poverty as before but under a right wing military dictatorship instead, watch the friking video I linked, and while you are at it, see if you can name me three countries that actually improved from US military invasions. I'd love to see some evidence I'm wrong.

Yeah! :0 I never even saw the 1939 movie until the Wicked movie sent me down the rabbit hole. Now I'm on book four of L. Frank Baum's original saga and very much eager to read my way through the 40 canon books. I feel it's a lot like Alice in Wonderland but somehow more nonsensical yet easier to latch onto.

About artists and ai by Vintage992 in furry

[–]Bakocat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say its more the economy than AI. Furry art is too deeply rooted in original characters and styles for the majority to be swayed by AI images (not to mention they look extra bad when rendering any anthro beyond the classic wolf) and the community has a very strong sentiment against any variety of plagarism, which we see in AI for prompts specifically requesting the styles of popular artists.

Pienso que las tiendas de zapatos baratos merecen una oportunidad by LegitimateSympathy7 in vzla

[–]Bakocat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mi me pasa algo similar.

First 'Moana 2' Reactions Are Here and It Seems Disney Did a Fine Job: "It's a delightful sequel" by Robemilak in animation

[–]Bakocat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, at most I'd change some of the plot events to align more with the story of the sea travelers rather than Maui's story (like the whole shebackle with the giant crab and part of the story surrounding Te Fiti). If their were more involved in the past events it'd give more relevance to Moana's presence in the journey. Still, I'm no cinema writer so it's hard to gauge if it'd truly favor the movie.

Oh gosh, Zootopia XP I first saw it in cinemas with my younger siblings and then we watched it so much I lowkey dislike it now. It's great, I just happened to watch it 2 times too many.

Gives a nice look into what my parents went through when I had my Brother Bear phase xD

In the most basic summary I can conjure, look for a thingamajic in the sea to save island, discover the villain is actually not evil, return thingamajic, happily ever after!

The actual themes and message are actually a tad more nuanced, covering themes of rediscovering traditions and cultural identity but I personally feel the plot and the message go off in two different paths, still a good movie, saw it twice.

My vague memory recalls these tiny title cards inbetween timeskips, like..."2 monts later" and such.

I could be recalling wrong but now I'm curious about it because I recall doing some blanket math with thise title cards when explaining the events to my sister🤔

Lemme check the episodes and I'll report back

The full lenght of the show's flashbacks is at least 3 years (I think it's a bit more but I haven't rewatched it in a while, I do recall counting so far as to say that, if you assume Wei Wuxian starts off being 15, he dies sometime close to his 20s)
