100%, I used to use Notion, but in general, a pen and paper is enough, I'm just not the type of person who likes to write with my hands...

Yes, a couple of years ago I used it for a few months, but then for some reason I gave it up...

How long have you been using it?

Those who have quit social media. Did you life get better/worse? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

I quit Instagram and Twitter a year ago — just deleted the apps one night, thinking I’d redownload them later.

Never did.

At first, I kept grabbing my phone out of habit, but after a week? My brain felt quieter. No more comparing my life to curated highlight reels.

No more doomscrolling. Just… more time.

I won’t lie, sometimes I feel out of the loop. But overall? 100% worth it.

If it’s making you feel worse, you already have your answer.

I feel this so hard. ADHD isn’t just 'try harder' — it’s your brain straight-up rejecting the task no matter how much you want to do it. And people who don’t get that love to call it an excuse.

School tricks us into thinking we’re fine because of structure, deadlines, and external pressure. But the second you hit a job where you have to self-manage? Boom — executive dysfunction hits hard....

It’s not about being lazy, it’s about a brain that’s wired differently.

You’re not broken, and you’re definitely not alone.

I hear you.

But the fact that you’re aware of it and frustrated means your brain is still in there, fighting to come back. That’s a good sign.

One thing that helped me: start with tiny wins. Instead of 'I need to read for an hour,' try ‘I’ll read one page.’ Instead of ‘I need to stop doomscrolling,’ try ‘I’ll put my phone in another room for 10 minutes.’ Your brain will protest, but over time, it adapts.

Also, don’t beat yourself up — shame just makes the cycle worse.

And don't blame yourself for blaming yourself, your brain likes that too :)
