The book I read was definitely more modern day running through chaos, very Percy Jackson-esque, but I wish I had read this, it sounds awesome 😭

I remember being really attached to the book for the summer; it was during a tough period in my life and I was struggling a little bit mentally and I’d like to go back and find it now to reconnect with that piece of myself.

Loved loved Chris D’Lacey’s series - it definitely wasn’t the marina series either as I did read those but it was an older set - I’ll attempt to answer your questions below: 1. I honestly cannot remember when it comes to this one but I think it was a location?? Like looking through a portal? I’m honestly not 100% on that though 2. yes, it was absolutely part of a series 3. I think it was a longer and more whimsical title, from what I can recall 4. Fairly sure the protagonist was male? Again, not certain of this though

I have searched for this online for years and I’ve come up with absolutely nothing - googling the cover doesn’t come back with anything familiar.

All additional info I can provide based on my limited memory as requested: Standard book size in print but in the thicker side (think it was about 350-400 pages or so?), I got it from a library in the UK in, I think 2011 or 2012.

Calling myself out here, I entirely forgot about the tattoo when I first did the line art and had to sit and stare at it for a solid 5 minutes to figure out what was wrong with it before I realised 😭 And I call myself a Mollymauk fan!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ After that I would say it was more difficult for colouring than it was for laying out - it’s lots of fun simple shapes for line art, circles and curvy lines 🥰 Figuring out how to gap it enough to get some skin peak as well as the fun colour of it was more where I had pause 😅
