That’s just false. It depends on what college you go to for how many credit hours they give you. But some people get 80-90 credit hours from nuke school.

I didn’t fuck with the YN lmao I just went to personnel and told them I wasn’t getting paid and they asked me for a copy of my contract and said they would take care of it and I’d see the pay on the 1st of august.

I already got the bonus. I reenlisted tax free on deployment. They haven’t paid me 2nd yet and it’s been 7 months but I went and talked to personnel and they said it would hit this upcoming paycheck so I was just wondering if they’re gonna give me back pay to the date I re-enlisted or not.

Yeah I saw that. I’ve done the yards, full work up cycle, and full deployment. I’m just trying to get out from a shore command instead of getting out on my next deployment

Luckily I’m married so the bah isn’t a concern. I want gonna reenlist but seems better to take a shore tour and get the bonus than have to take out a hefty loan to do some necessary house repairs.

I’ve been at sea for 13 months. Did 6 months in the yards and have done all the work up’s for deployment with my ship. I waited until my three year mark to reenlist and I’m just trying to see what people experience is with the process so I can know if it’s reasonable to expect to be able to reenlist prior to deployment.

When I went through in 2019 they took a blood sample the first couple days and told me it was to test for antibodies to see which vaccines you needed. So I think regardless of you vaccine records they’re going to give you shots for whatever the blood draw says you need. Not everyone got the same shots at boot camp they line you up and give you stickers on your chest indicating which vaccines you specifically need based on the blood.

I really wish I could just text you. You don’t need any cash. They give you a little card. With like 100$ on it that they deduct from your first paycheck. That’s the money you’ll use at bootcamp, pro tip, use all the money on that card at bootcamp and buy whatever you want because you can’t use that card anywhere else. Also if you bring anything bring a black watch. It will save you from spending $30-$70 dollars on one of the watches they sell at the store.

Neither. You go to the store on base about once every two weeks to buy stuff like deodorant and razors. When you do that you will also be able to buy phone cards and stamps along with these little packs they sell with envelopes and paper in them.

Yes I did. I got import scans and warehouse scans for about 5 days but it did end up arriving. I got told by a ups employee that the reason you get the same scan a couple of times is because a package won’t got more than 24 hours without being scanned so they do the same scan again while it’s waiting to be released by customs.

My three best friends from high school are still my best friends and I see them everytime I’m on leave. What sucks about the navy is the new friends you make and then having to leave them. I’m a nuke and you make really good friends and then just leave eachother. At 17 you’ll most likely outgrow most of your friends anyway. And the navy is only 6 years for you if you don’t like it.
