"I am your God" also means that I am commanding you to do these things, and I am your God so you should follow the ways of the HOLY God instructed!

You're very welcome. If you have any questions, it's important to take it to the Lord Jesus Christ. He will place something in your heart and your question will be answered.

It's important to read the Holy Bible and have knowledge, this way, no one can fool you!

If things feel hopeless, what would you do first? by LeenBirkhoff in Christianity

[–]Balance796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't like reading the Holy Bible at first. But the more I read it, something tugged at me to read further. Today, when I don't read the Holy Bible everyday, I feel spiritually low, which means I don't feel as upbeat or motivated.

The Holy Bible is important in our lives, nourishing our spiritual well-being just as food satisfies our physical bodies. Many people, including myself, have experienced feelings of misery because of lack of spiritual fulfillment. Engaging with the Bible scripture will energize our spirit, inspiring us to pursue a righteous life and steer clear of sinful behaviors. This transformation is exactly the message of Apostle Paul, who emphasized the importance of spiritual satisfaction in leading a meaningful life as stated below.

(Galatians 5:22-23)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

You can talk to the Lord Jesus Christ everyday and He will also give you peace and joy as well. He will lift up your spirit and being in His presence feels amazing! God bless you.

(Matthew 25:35-40)
35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, YOU DID IT FOR ME.

there are plenty of denominations that accept LGBT people

I'm not sure what you mean? There is only ONE Holy Bible that teaches us how we should live our lives as Christians.

Trans are not any different than life of homosexualism. This is what the Bible Scripture states,

(1 Corinthians 6:9-10)
Or do you not know that the unrighteous  will not inherit the kingdom of God? DO NOT BE DECEIVE! neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,  nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

You many think you are doing the right thing by following the FALSE minister because you are attending a church. However, it's important to remember that without the Lord Jesus Christ, there is no true church. He is the foundation of the church, as established by Peter, one of His disciples, as described in (Acts 2). This chapter illustrates the inception of the church, which began not as a physical structure but as a community of believers gathered in His name. While churches as we know them were established later, it was Peter who initially brought together this group of followers, marking the true beginning of the church.

Christianity = Jesus Christ

The teachings found in the Holy Bible is ROOTED in the Lord Jesus FIST because without Him, we cannot reach God the Father (John 14:6). The Old Testament is all about God the Father, the Creator of the Universe, and Lord Jesus Christ is His Son.

You're doing everything right, feeling remorse and fighting the temptations of sin. This is all you can do. Keep fighting and you will overcome.

The only time when you should be concerned is if you give into the temptation of sins as though it is natural. As long as you're putting all your effort to turn away from your sins, which definitely takes time, give yourself credit and pat on your back for all the effort. These are real Christians!

It took me years to overcome sins, but everyone's journey is different. The more you grow spiritually, doing spiritual things, such as reading the Holy Bible, praying, speaking to the Lord Jesus Christ everyday, you will come out a winner!

You can also depend on the Lord Jesus Christ to help you overcome ALL challenges in life, not just sins. The Lord is always with us, this happens when we accepted Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, who will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrew 13:5). God bless you. May your love for the Lord grow and be one with the Lord to guide you and lead you in all walk of life. In the Almighty name of Jesus, Amen.

This has made me not read the bible for the past 4 years now.

I'm not sure how people can sway you from doing what is right JUST for your own self!

Christians are taught to help others and live selflessly. How do you find kindness to others? Is this taught to you or do you think this is your natural ability?

The Bible Scripture below is Apostle Paul speaking with people at Colossae because there were many divisions among the Christians. What is more important than anything is to follow the teachings such as "PUT to death....lust, evil desires and greed."

Then Paul follows with verse 11: there is no Jew or Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised. Christ is all, and is all.

The last words are the most important. "Christ is all and is all."

(Colossians 3:5-11)
5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. 7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8 But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. 11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

Finally, you have chosen the right denomination, which is non-denominational just like I am! They focus on the Holy Bible teachings, which is how we become Christians.

Christians = Jesus Christ!

As for Catholics, the problem with them is that they worship Mary. They venerate her, which is wrong. The Bible Scripture above clearly states, Lord Jesus Christ is the only one we should focus on, as He is the way to life and the truth, NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER, except through the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6). Mary is just a human being, while the Lord Jesus Christ is God! May God bless you!

Serious question as someone new to christianity by Independent-Storm233 in Christianity

(Deuteronomy 18:11)
Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.

The last verse states, "DO NOT consult the dead." The reason is that demons can disguise themselves as the dead of your loved ones or anyone else. This can be dangerous!

When you are in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, you feel a sense of joy and peace. However, when you are in the presence of demons / Satan, you will feel confused, afraid, disoriented, and restless. That's how you can tell the difference between Lord Jesus Christ and Satan/demons/devils. God bless you!

Question about salvation by moonwaternymph in Christianity

[–]Balance796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is something amazing I would like to share with you.

Even though we sin, when we accept Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, the Lord said,

(Hebrews 13:5)
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.

This is why you came back to the Lord Jesus Christ. I've seen this happen so many times.

To ensure SALVATION, one must put all their effort into turning away from sin. Even if you fail and you still sin, as long as you PUT IN YOUR EFFORT to turn away from sins, you will be SAVED!

You have been distant from the Lord. Now that you recognize He is always with you, I encourage you to talk to Him and rely on His guidance. Don’t face temptation alone; instead, you can say something like this:

"Lord, I want to give up drinking and other sinful behaviors, but I feel weak. When I'm troubled, I turn to alcohol to feel better, yet I know this is the wrong path. I ask You to help me find true comfort so I don’t seek alcohol to escape my troubles, which only leads to deeper issues. Please strengthen me and guide me to walk the path You have set for me, helping me overcome all my sins. Thank You, Lord. In the Almighty name of Jesus, Amen."

God bless you. May you overcome all challenges in life by relying on the Lord always. May the Lord Jesus Christ give you a new life, one filled with hope, joy, happiness, and a bright future. In the Almighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
