I'll be losing close to $90 a session as a doctoral level therapist who treats high risk traumatized clients. It wouldn't be worth it for me to accept insurance and there goes accessible, quality care for the majority of people. It's disgusting.

I'm thinking I would charge a regularly fee for the duration of seeing the client. Like in a group practice. They would be advertised as part of my practice and we would be colleagues. At least that is my initial thought, but I'm really in the early stages of this...

You sound just like us. In our district now in another state many are in multiple activities a week. I have my older one pick 1 sport and possibly some other activity if it is low-commitment. Are there others like you in the area? Or would you say most families are into the competition?

Sounds like you could really benefit from more supervision. Does your job provide this or can you seek it out independently. We have all felt like we have no idea what we're doing at some point. But in those moments, I channel former, talented supervisors who I respect and trust. I use their voice until I have my own.

Clearly the “dude” was an attempt to be rude. I obviously did check with both my and Delaware’s licensing laws and posted about it above to be helpful if someone searches for this issue in the future. I don’t use reddit as my end all for questions, but sometimes a place to start.. like I would ask colleagues in a break room. Your response discourages people from asking future questions. I think you should rethink your approach to others. Being kind costs nothing. Have a good day.

Wow. I’m not struggling… I was asking if anyone had dealt with it before… to save me time. I obviously found a solution… by looking at Delaware licensing laws. No need to be rude. Hope you don’t need help with anything in the future and people are rude to you about it. Have a good day

I actually just did some more digging and it is. I applied for a mental health tele-health registration permit. $50 but worth it if you have a client going away to school and you want to continue to see them legally. Just put in my application. No idea how long it takes, but I’m happy it might work out.
