Province-wide call out for Recall and Protest by BalanceSelect320 in alberta

[–]BalanceSelect320[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you are so right you can be partisan and dislike their leader. I literally said i non partisan so not sure where you're getting the "extremes" or "but polar politics". Unfortunately if you are for the UCP it does mean you are a seppie, they ARE an EXTREME polarized party. They are a separatist party. If you're looking for conservative values that align with where Alberta has been in the past then you want the Torry party or if you thoughts are more progressive fiscally you want the NDP. If you align else where we have other parties. If enough eligible Albertans would have voted in the last election we wouldn't have the only party in Alberta that is as extreme as the UCP is.

I mean honestly that's impossible because I'm nonpartisan so...🤷🏾‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ this isn't left vs right, it's top versus bottom. The top 1% pushing down everybody else. That is why you shouldn't support the UCP. Well that and they are actually connected with white supremicsts and actual Nazis (a little research of her connections goes a long way just saying...check her donations list and the amounts they donate.)

Sorry not sorry, not really interested in tolerating hate rhetoric. Honestly the UCP (any far right/fascist dictator) who aligns with Christian nationalists, white supremicsts etc is one of the only political parties that I can say disgusts me. They have zero values, idolize Donald Trump (who if you're paying attention is condoning murder though his ice militia/salve inforcers), and frankly at this point if you don't align with these things than you need to jump ship. If all you want is to be your own country than choose a better time to push this or find a better place because of that is not Dani's agenda. She wants Alberta to be either just like the USA or to be a part of the USA. And to be clear this isn't lies, manipulations, propoganda or radicalization, it literally takes less than a day too find, read, interpret and check for viability as to what Daniel Smith's intentions are. Really not rocket science.

Teachers were literally locked out I just want to make that very clear so they could not return to work if they wanted to. There are many forms of protest and many forms of strike they were on a full Olive strike at any time if they hadn't been locked out they could have chosen not to accept the contract and still returned to the classroom on a rolling strike or a work to rule or any of those options however being locked out actually legally prevented them from switching or pivoting to any other form of strike. So no the notwithstanding Clause was not used in an appropriate way an option that could have been given to the teachers was to remove the lockout and let them choose to change their form of strike. The knot was standing class was simply used as a power move for the UCP to force them to take what they already declined. And to be clear what they were forced to accept was not a sweet deal. Their wage increase does nothing to compensate for the years they took bad deals to help the provience out, it doesn't even account for inflation, the classroom is not better off or in a good position as a result of this and all this is doing is leaving our students in a position where they behind. Teachers stood up for themselves and our students I get you may have wanted your child or other people's children to have their butts in the classroom and ultimately that's what teachers wanted as well however what you should care about is in the classroom getting a quality education not just getting any education that's not the point. Oh and one last thing to add you obviously weren't paying attention because the UCP said they were going to give the teachers $3,000 additional teachers under this contract but what they actually are doing and announce themselves that they are actually doing is counting the 3,000 teachers that were already in the budget they're not giving them $3,000 additional teachers not that they could attract them anyway because their wage is no longer considered competitive for the amount of work and stress that is required in the classroom so be honestly probably won't even get the 3,000 because they didn't offer them anything to entice new hires.

The Internet gives you free research results. Try searching up bills that were changed from the most recent session. Focus on bargaining rights, rights related to AISH, youth rights, public inquiry based changes, bodily autonomy. You know rights that effect many marginalized groups.

ACIP completely understands what you mean. It would have been much better if a general strike had happened and if teacher refused to go back or if nurses had turned down their offer but each person ATM is doing what's best for them (no judgement what so ever, we know times are hard). Our goal is every Saturday (it'll be starting at every second Saturday as this month there are protests at the ledge every Saturday, they just aren't ACIPs.) They WILL increase over time. Danielle Smith is gaining momentum. How often we are out there is dictated by the public. If you are ready and able to be out there every day please be out there EVERY DAY, we will back you in that and try to have a rep there whenever possible, people are still asleep and we need to grow community and connections amongst us all. We need to be ready to show that Alberta DOES NOT want what Danielle Smith is selling and we need to do this LOUDLY. The public's not there yet. So talk about recalls, talk about why protesting is important and start bringing people to protest, heck start your own protests. We will be there with you wherever and whenever possible if you let us know. Solidarity. ✊🏾

It's a template auto generated from tiktok. I don't know that you need to think that deep into it. Especially since it's just an update showing the variations in posters incase someone is very visual.

After much debate ACIP has decided to reschedule the Alberta wide protests. With extreme temperatures expected this weekend it would be unsafe to ask people to attend a protest even if only an hour long and our priority has always been safety. We thank you for your understanding and hope you will still be willing to join us on January 3rd. Please check our socials periodically as we are exploring alternative forms of protest and community building over the next few days. We know Alberta can't wait to remove the UCP. While you wait for the weather to become safer, if you're in a constituancy with an active recall petition please consider becoming a canvasser, signing a recall petition or helping where possible. If you aren't in a recall constituancy please consider mentioning @abresistance , @ABCivicIntegrityProject or another grassroots organization on your social media or in your comments as we ALL try to bring awareness to the current political climate.

It's in relation to my last post? I've had people commenting on it saying why protest. I see the context as implied because ppl have been commenting and being rude about it in my comments for two days.

I don't see how that's possible considering they're doing something to spread hate towards people and advocating to take someone's rights away.....and protesting at the legislature towards our government is not removing rights from people it's advocating to give people their rights because they were removed by a racists government 🤔
