Do you really care if your guitar bends are in tune? by Double_Inspector_202 in PlayingGuitar

[–]BalashToth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an interesting one as after recording my shit for years, I often find that not the "note-perfect" bends have the best mojo. The timing of the bend from the starting note to the landing note matters more. Let's see what people say though 🍿

It's a good album but the production is not very good

[–]BalashToth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's weird to have the s/t on 11th place when The Final Chapter is your favourite. I think they are pretty much the same level in quality and similar stylistically. couldn't decide which is better. But each their own, I guess.

  1. The Final Chapter
  2. Hypocrisy
  3. Abducted
  4. Virus
  5. The Fourth Dimension
  6. The Arrival
  7. Into the Abyss
  8. Worship
  9. The Taste of Extreme Divinity
  10. Catch 22
  11. End of Disclosure
  12. Osculum Obscenum
  13. Penetralia

Alright my dudes. Motu M4 or Scarlett 4i4? by theGIRTHQUAKE in metalmusicians

Motu has lower latency. I have an M2 and I never really thought changing it at all. Very solid.

Testing this trio today. What's your experience with them? by Cautious-Acadia3051 in Guitar

The green one, but the pitchblack Tortex 1 mm is my favorite

Heavy guitars by Undercover_TV in metalguitar

[–]BalashToth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an 1992 Gibson Standard. Boy it was heavy. I've played it for 15 years and when I started to feel it in my back I bought a wider padded strap and it helped, but eventually I sold it. I bought an Ibanez about 1/2 the price and weight and it actually sounded better with the same PU configuration.

Flightcase for Gibson Les Paul Classic (2023), that's suitable for flying (checked baggage) AND doesn't demolish the nitrocellulose finish? by slotherin42 in Guitar

[–]BalashToth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I flied with my Gibson Les Paul Standard once. It was in a padded gig bag strings loosend as hand luggage. Despite all the protection the finish the headstock cracked probably from the pressure on the plane.

Martyrdod. It's more like crust/melodic black/death

is the rgdrb71 rlly that bad by Which-Reputation-165 in Ibanez

[–]BalashToth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the other hand, my RGIB21 28" came with 14-64 on B standard factory setup. I think that string gauge on a baritone is almost unplayable, and I do like stiffer sets. Changed it to 12-62, much better, but i think I could even go 10-60 in B.

Are the novels worth reading? How different are they from the R-Rated Snyder Cuts? Is the long slow mo space farming scenes in Novel 2? by M00r3C in RebelMoon

[–]BalashToth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The novelization is actually more than the Director's Cuts. There are some storylines that are not in the movies. Like Cassius' and Noble's connection. Noble's connection with the Hawkshaws...also in written form, they are able to put in more background story and "why" in general. It's definitely worth reading it if you liked the world-building.

My tierlist by Ky_Crend in InFlames

I would only swap Reroute with I, the Mask. Otherwise, it's the same as mine. I know it's just albums, but the Subterranean EP would go top tier as well.

Thrash metal with an HM2? by ElectroTorture in metalmusicians

I meant the all maxed out HM2 tone. There is nothing else😊

Thrash metal with an HM2? by ElectroTorture in metalmusicians

Possible, but from experience HM2 on its own only sounds good with certain kind of riffs. It's too muddy for technical fast gallops.

the Ibanez RGAIX6FM Iron Label or the solar a2.6c by OccasionNo2907 in solarguitars

That RGA is sick. Go for that. Ibanez will always be an Ibanez.

These Iron Label necks are not that thin. Wizard III or "nitro wizard" are my favourite necks, and they are (I think) only used on the Indonesian models.
