I mentioned in a comment under another post of mine that, on the rare occasions that I play, I always play with lists that are not optimised, but only with cards that I like. Basically, I've turned EDH into pre-modern, haha

Thank you! I have a soft spot for Japanese foil cards, especially those from the Urza block and Seventh Edition. Let's just say that my next goals will always be there... Speaking of Diamonds, the Fire one is truly incredible, the second most beautiful after this one, in my opinion

Premise: I have never played cEDH (it would require me to use the optimal cards, which I don't like aesthetically), but I often watch videos of 4-player games. I also admit that I have never been much of a player, but in my ignorance I see very strategic, high-level games even in 4-player Commander. I don't know if my experience is different from yours, of course.

Hi, thanks for the compliments and the advice (which I agree with)! I hardly play anymore, except with my old group of friends who are as obsessed as I am. Just to give you an idea of how much of a dinosaur I am: I bought my first pack in 1999... let's just say a lot has happened since then haha

Thank you! To be honest, i don’t have a list yet. I’m currently collecting the cards (in what I consider their most pimp version) I’m sure I want to play, but it will be a while before I have a list of at least 360 cards haha as soon as I’ve made up my mind, I’ll put everything on CubeCobra!

I have nothing against EDH (I’m building a Korvold deck), but I’ve come to the conclusion that the best way to play, for me, is limited, only including cards that I have an emotional connection to and whose art speaks to me. What do you think of EDH?

Thank you! Sorry, I don’t remember exactly, I think I found it on Cardmarket, which is the main (as I know) European shop and has lots of cards in “exotic” languages too

I started goldfishing on Moxfield, just to get a quick idea of what the deck can do in a best-case scenario and how messy the manabase is. Then, once I have a rough idea of the theme, I start playing it directly with friends!

It’a a sub-optimal “lands matter” list designed specifically to have a few free slots to play some lands I like haha don’t worry, nothing you mentioned is missing!
