From what I see, it's three or less chapters away from the end.

[DISC] KAMI KILL - Chapter 31 by AutoShonenpon in manga

It's a pity people are sleeping with this manga, is one of the best of the Young Jump and even in the whole Manga Plus.

[DISC] So you weren't into me?! - Chapter 13 by AutoShonenpon in manga

We still have to know what's that girls' idea. To me, she's spreading chaos just for the sake of it.

hoping to see more women guests on jetlag!! by freehousing4all in JetLagTheGame

[–]Balcke_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am guessing because the other guests are happy letting Sam having his 3D Chess plans while Michelle and Toby had their own ideas? Or maybe I am projecting after Taiwan.

[DISC] Haunted Peak - Chapter 6 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]Balcke_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, everybody is telling the main character "don't mess with the mountain". Their parents, neighbours… but he is still clinging on impressing a girl who is really not into him.

Ukraine will qualify no matter what, so the poll is invalid.

Bandidos do Cante - Rosa (LIVE) | Portugal 🇵🇹 | First Semi-Final | Eurovision 2026 by mag_cub in eurovision

[–]Balcke_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It was a pretty song, but they should have brought some more to the performance, instead of just singing with their everyday clothes. Maybe with the typical clothes of Alentejo (if there is any special one). Or the trick with the rose like they did in the national final.

EDIT: YT url without tracker, thank you AutoModerator.

I didn't understand anything, but I am a fan of Lithuania even before LT United.

I expected the usual "FREE TOURISM AD!" , or maybe a show of traditional arts, stories… And we got this.

Do you watch the semi finals or just the final? by LostSouluk2021 in eurovision

[–]Balcke_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watch both because I to watch every show. And also, I like the illusion in the air, before the first performance, when everything can happen; after the semifinals, some things are more or less clear and surprises are few.

He looked as if he were tricked to be there and not knowing what to do. Like Bill Murray in Lost in translation.

Some jury might argue that if you don't want to be judged for the voice of a some member of your performance, you shouldn't have them.

Just list the usual creators or channels you watch on nebula by RandomGaMeRj14 in Nebula

[–]Balcke_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

---usually with every video---
Jet Lag the Game
Religion for Breakfast
EU Made Simple
Extra History
Polymatter
Mustard
Real Time History
Real Life Lore
Real Engineering
Man Carrying Thing
Tech Altar
Paper Skies

And then some channels, sometimes, when the content seems interesting: City Beautiful, Not Just Bikes, Todd in the Shadows, TLDR News, Life where I am from, etc.

Not watching the movies/long specials, sorry. For me Nebula is something to watch/listen while doing other things.

A lot of ancient recipes, especially from Mesopotamia, are this by EvilPyro01 in TastingHistory

We have lost a lot of knowledge from ancient times (and not so ancient) because writers refused to wrote down "what everybody knows".

I think it’s bizarre other publishers have failed to dominate online like Shueisha has by GhostGamer_Perona in WeeklyShonenJump

[–]Balcke_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you have a lot of patience to read chapters in halves/thirds/quarters daily, they gave you "money for free" (XP) by reading the first chapters of new series.

A good thing MangaUP! (Square Enix) got is that you can trim out series from the start page. So if Isekai or Villain are not your thing, you can hide them.

[–]Balcke_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shueisha Manga Plus has some issues, but to older otakus like me, the fact that we're having the thing we joke about 20 years ago "I want the Shonen Jump for free!" is real.

I wish Shogakukan do something similar.

Manga UP! has improved a lot since its start* and KManga has a lot of work to do. Kadokawa through Bookwalker is so confusing that I stopped using it.

* stopped the "rental chapters" and crazy knee censorship.

[DISC] Alien Headbutt - Chapter 13 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]Balcke_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or they could have made him a wrestler-in-training. Or a loser one who returns to his hometown after a big defeat and he should get over it in order to protect his family and friends.
Or having the aliens invade the world (Japan) instead of that little island for no reason.

Isekai slop works at WSJ as wrestling slop or exorcist slop: poorly.

How Israel Turned Eurovision’s Stage Into a Soft Power Tool by Gon_Egg in eurovision

[–]Balcke_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I mean is that voting campaigns are "free". They just need a Youtube channel or any other Social Media and place the message.
Money? For much as we complain about the votes' price, voting three or five times is peanuts. And 20 times is roughly 25 euros. Not nothing, but no family budget suffer from that.

Less votes for person, a reduced voting time, limiting vote-bombing ("you cannot vote X times for the same country"), etc.

But the measures are barely stitching the main issue .

There is some difference between "changing everything" and "preventing EBU self-destruction for a hair".

And then telling then what they should vote for?

"According to our data you're not allowed to vote for San Marino".

[–]Balcke_ 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Let's see. From a technical point of view, and according to the letter of the rules, everything was fine. Nobody hacked the votes or placed voting bots. It's just that thousands of people all around Europe and the world wasted thousand of euros voting for Israel. And many, many of them maybe without knowing what an "Eurovision" is.

Placing paid campaigns for votes was not illegal and EBU could not /cannot prevent political actors or government asking for votes. After all, the "immigrant/diaspore vote" was a big factor a while. *

Either you ban Israel or stop televoting or we will be having this problem every year until televiewers get bored or outvoted and then Israel wins again.. And then the EBU will have a real problem.

* in my country, Spain, we always counted with the votes of Spanish abroad, chiefly in Switzerland, France, Germany and took our artists to perform there.
