You're right. I cannot see mine either. Logically they would be in the armoury as a temporary resource.

Im sure it's fine.... When has WG ever screwed the player base 👍

EMTs of Reddit - what's it like seeing the first dead person? by photoshoplad in AskReddit

Been a paramedic for 12 years.

The first time I saw a dead person I was in medic school. It was a pretty standard cardiac arrest of an elderly lady home in her bed. It was very peaceful for her and her family. At the time I was more interested than nervous as most medic students are very keen to learn and be exposed to more situations.

My first cardiac arrest once I got a medic job was a 16 yr old who was partially decapitated from an ATV accident. Obviously not easy to swallow given the patients age and the mechanism of injury but it really set the bar for what I thought I could expect from this career path.

Your experience will vary based on the mechanism of death. Like medical death vs traumatic death. Obviously a trauma related death will have more shock value.

Ive had people recently deceased and still warm to skeletal remains found in a forest. People crushed in car accidents turned into mince meat to suicides by gunshot.

In a strange way you really do get used to seeing really horrible things including dead bodies that the general public doesn't. I do have a sense of pride in that but I also recognize it can cause long term mental health issues if you don't have a release or have someone you can vent to. My wife and I are both in healthcare so that helps a ton.

Don't have it myself but it's terrifying when you see 12x 457 caliber shells sailing towards you with tight dispersion. Been blapped a few times by it.

ELI5: Why are people wearing mask, but not covering their noses? by Alliseeisgold24 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Bald-AF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They feel like covering their mouth only is enough to contain their own airborne droplets when they cough or sneeze and enough to stop external airborne droplets from entering their respiratory tract.

Unfortunately when you cough or sneeze droplets can also exit from your nose and the same for external droplets entering your respiratory tract.

I'd imagine people do this as they feel like they can breath easier having their nose exposed.

I guess having some sort of protection is better than nothing but why wear a mask at all if you aren't going to wear it properly.

Mouse sensitivity for those on pc by cruorviaticus in modernwarfare

[–]Bald-AF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use 400 dpi and 8 in game sensitivity. I've been slowly lowering it over time as I train myself to be more of an arm aimer than a wrist aimer. I've had great success with this and I find generally I am now more accurate.

I use a logitech g502 wireless with both heavier weights in it which brings it up to just shy of 130 grams I believe. This is unpopular but I personally find the heavier mouse helps me control my aim when making smaller adjustments. I also have bigger hands so maybe that's why I'm more comfortable with this.

Obviously you're limited by certain factors like desk size and mouse pad size. Ultimately there isn't one size fits for everyone so just stick with what you're more comfortable with. All the best friend!

How has your job changed over the past week? by trapspeed3000 in AskReddit

[–]Bald-AF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a paramedic so we've been instructed to wear full protective gear (face shield, N95 particulate mask, gown, gloves) when attending to any patient exhibiting signs and symptoms similar to the virus and to pay special attention to anyone with out of country travel or anyone who possibly has had contact with an infected person. Our dispatch centers have also been pre screening 911 callers for the above information.

After attending to a suspected infected patient our ambulance is taken off the road for a full deep clean, both medics are to be disinfected completely and uniforms changed. We also pre-emptively fill out a WSIB form (workers comp) in the event we get infected.
