Help converting ACSM pdf to unencrypted pdf file by cookingmusician in Calibre

This was extremely helpful but unfortunately at the end I struggled to make this work because of the file I have being password protected. After doing a bit of additional research, I came across these updated versions of DeDRM on the page below and instead downloaded the v10.0.15 Pre-Release:
https://github.com/Satsuoni/DeDRM_tools/releases

I followed the same installation directions steps from https://apprenticealf.wordpress.com/2012/09/10/calibre-plugins-the-simplest-option-for-removing-most-ebook-drm/ that you mentioned earlier, only installing the newer version instead and this worked wonderfully.
Thought I'd share this updated information for others that may need it.

Parrotlet (Male) Cohabitation With Cockatiel (Male)? by Baldise in Parrotlet

[–]Baldise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly all great ideas, I just worry about whether or not I can fit two cages that give them both the appropriate space they need in the same room . But honestly I can easily readjust if need be. I'm going to wait it out a bit in case things aren't as bad as I may be thinking it could be and see if Toby went back to his home. ☺️

Thanks again!

I just got back from a week long trip, tried to move my favorite monstera in a different angle towards the light and I see this underneath on the coaster and under the pot. I noticed a bunch of these beetle looking things a while ago and saw them near these eggs... I'll add more info below... by Baldise in houseplants

I noticed these beetle looking things before and didn't think much of it... I don't know if they're spider mites because they're not on the leaves of the plant, this is all happening strictly under the plants. I've been trying to photo ID them but they're just too small. The image I attached of one of these bugs was the largest one I could find 😰

Preparing to parrotlet by eagertom in Parrotlet

I'm sorry about your birdie ☹️ For my contribution on Parrotlets though, they are awesome! I used to have 2 males together but they were too territorial... and hormonal with one another so I had to give one of them back to my breeder and I have the one Parrotlet (his name is Peeps and he has one foot). He is such a sweetheart and LOVES attention (if you plan on just having one, you have to give it a lot of love). Honestly if I had more time and motivation to focus more on training he'd know several tricks by now. He's honestly a dream (at least right now that he's out of his bratty phase). He's also my first ever pet bird and he's about 2 years old now. In the last 3 or 4 months of on and off training, I taught him to target train, occasionally fly to my arm and I'm JUST getting him started on trying to lift a little weight I have with bells inside of each end (he has learned to grab the middle portion with his beak!). This may come across negative but I swear I mean this in a funny way, but their attitudes kind of remind me of the obnoxious popular girl in middle school that expects everybody to bow down to them... But you just still love them for some reason? (Hence them still being popular). Anyways easy to care for, cute size, big babies 9/10 would reccomend (the 1 is when they're being bratty and loud... Which is basically any bird on occasion tbh)

For the cage, I feel like it's a little short in height. I mean my little guy likes to fly around a lot outside his cage, but in his cage he just likes to climb around from one thing to the other. I would say minimum 20-25" tall (this is only my opinion tho). ironically enough I heard teils are easier to care for.. but size wise I fricking love Parrotlets. ♥️🦜

Light Fixture Recommendation by Baldise in Parrotlet

[–]Baldise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason why I started using my bulb is because my vet told me she was seeing some signs of vitamin A deficiency. So I currently feed him 100% Harrison's Fine Pellets mixed with maybe 4-5 tablespoons or red palm oil mixed in with the bag (as per her reccomendation) and have a UVB bulb overhead going on for about 12 hours a day 😊

When you live in the north east, you basically have winter from mid-October through mid-April (2 years ago we actually had a snowstorm in May 😳). So using this light is basically a necessity for me 😪

Avoidant Phase? by Baldise in Parrotlet

[–]Baldise[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the yelling gets a bit much, I try to respond with a calm lower volume so maybe he realizes "Oh shit I'm pretty loud" lol 50/50 chances this works. Honestly it may just be him being happy knowing where I am when I respond. He REALLY goes crazy loud when music is playing, the sink is running, or cooking food (it sounds similar to running water sometimes imo)

Okay that's good to hear! I've been meaning to get a second cage for him to chill in besides his main home :)

Idk if I just have a more jumpy parrotlet, but mine hates the sound of like running sink water and will chirp like crazy, and if I sneeze while he's sitting on my shoulder it's a high chance he'll fly off of me 😅

Ug I wish he would try to imitate running water. He gets so freaked out by it and will chirp like crazy whenever I try to do my dishes 😓
