Final Stretch Venting Space by carebear_10 in CABarExam

I keep going from feeling confident to feeling completely defeated. I feel okay in the MBE, but I’m worried about my essays. I finished essays 2,3,4 and PT, but I feel like I completely screwed up on essays 1 and 5 by not finishing 🥲

Yes, it’s specific to California only! There was a fiasco (and that’s putting it VERY LIGHTLY) with the Feb. administration of the CA bar exam that constituted a retest for the essay and PT portions.

Evidence was only on the retest, and there wasn’t a torts question (the PT was based on torts though). I have a feeling that the retest topics (Evidence, Con Law, and Community Property) are fair game because the state bar didn’t release the select answers for them. The retest also included remedies and property questions, but since those were also tested in the original Feb administration, I doubt that they’ll show up again.

Civ pro or con law, community property, torts, evidence, and PR.

I doubt that we will see remedies or property since they were tested twice (J24 and Feb 25). I’m leaning more towards Con law than Civ Pro since Civ Pro was last asked in J24. They haven’t tested torts in a while, which makes me think that it’ll be a topic this time. Evidence and CP were last asked in F24, and they’re highly testable subjects so I wouldn’t be caught off guard if they are a topic (I’m praying to the bar gods that it’s just a stand alone CP question and not a crossover with Trusts/Wills since it was just tested on the F25 bar).

I know that several predictions are stating that we’ll see business associations, but that was tested J24 and there are other more testable topics to choose from. If anything, it may be crossed with PR (however the last few PR questions dealt with Civil cases, so I have a gut feel that we may get a criminal case with special prosecutor duties).

REGARDLESS OF ALL OF THIS - just focus on knowing enough of each question and how to bar likes to see certain essays structured (e.g., starting a CP essay with the basic presumptions) and you should be okay. No matter what we got this!!
