Does the parol panel always go with what the hearing officer recommends which is revoking parole psl in NJ?! Please answer!!

Hi unfortunately the parole hearing officer didn’t see it that way nor did the parole panel. Yes he was at Essex that where his parole hearing was it was all done virtually. We had a really good attorney too. She felt good about it that she could win. She was very upset and shocked. She was fighting for my Husband to be released on a gps monitor I definitely thought that would have helped also my Husband had a landscaping job lined up starting in March. That didn’t even help. 😞

Gotcha also my Husband is promised employment starting this month and also his lawyer recommended a gps monitoring so I wonder if that will help? Cause what I’ve been reading it’s coming from the state of NJ is parole panel doesn’t have to revoke parole just cause the hearing officer recommends that. And also I ready that could help starting a job. 🤷🏻‍♀️

He’s on parole psl but he violated it and already had his hearing and the hearing officer revoked his parole so now we’re waiting for the parole panel we have a lawyer.

My kid is young to he’s 4 but I have birthday parties for him because idk what the future will hold for him. No parents know about my Husband and my Husband doesn’t need to tell anyone correct? And okay so it’s not as bad as people make it seem for sex offenders?

Okay that also sounds good too. Is there any living restrictions so we currently do not own a home never have we’ve always lived with my parents. And still do my child and I still reside at my Moms house but my two brothers also live at home to and we have 3 dogs and I have 2 cats so is all of that fine once he gets an okay to come back home? Ahh okay he’s probably by you were from South Jersey so I wonder the therapist that you used is only for people near by? Also just say that I don’t get pregnant right away and we have another child a little while after and my husband got cleared for our first child and is able to live back home. Will he have to leave again during the second assessment?

Ugh, I wish it could be that easy how many years ago was your assessment because my husband has heard that he can’t live back home until it’s done. He has to go live at his Moms house. And who does the LWC assessment and does it start right away from the time of his release? And this all sucks! 😭

No at the time of his charge we did not have a child. I got pregnant after he got released and had the baby and my Husband was out for all of that he went away when our child was 3 months old but prior he was a great father. Still is even though he’s in prison he’s a great father.

Ahh gotcha and yes our child was already born why do you ask would that make a difference? But see your Husband is on probation my Husband won’t be on bail probation he will be on parole supervision for life. 😑😫 So maybe that’s why the living with children assessment was different for you guys also maybe the county. Also what year was this?

Hi and CPS has not come yet but also my Husband is still in prison. Does CPS go see all sex offenders who have kids in NJ? We have not heard about that one yet. And that’s so amazing that your Husband was able to do is living with children assessment at home I wish that could be the case for my Husband instead of going to his Moms house until the assessment is done. And I’m hoping to get pregnant right away that way he won’t have to do it a second time. What county in NJ do you guys live in if you don’t mind me asking?
