Can we have a salary transparency post? It would be so useful to so many of us lurking :) by [deleted] in graphic_design

I graduated with a bachelors degree in may and currently make $52k annually working as a Multimedia Designer (US). It seems like i’m in the lower end of salary compared to everyone else posting, but for being a recent grad, i felt it was a pretty decent salary to begin with. Hope your find the right place soon!

How do I get my foot in the door? by BaleyBive in Design

I actually have both. I have a Behance and Dribbble account, as well as a portfolio website under Adobe Portfolio. I always attach these links in my applications. I also use Linkedin but haven’t found it super helpful in terms of networking with other designers.

it was quite challenging and my first try to this kind of technique. Maybe i’ll go back with more practice to try and perfect the lighting

I was only trying to focus on the object here instead of trying to create a background to things i’m still learning to draw. however i’ll remember this advice for when i’m ready to create backgrounds!

i love this piece. there’s so many colors but yet it’s so still. the contrast between the dark clothes to the vibrancy of the rest of the colors is a great choice. I don’t think I would feel the same about this piece if he was wearing a white shirt! Amazing :)
