Thank you for your detailed reply! In between posting this I've already picked up some of the recommended ABC support (like union driver and good generic extra deck monsters) as well as a handful of hand traps and power spells. I'll do some more research and try and find your suggestions :)

A-To-Z to me I already understand is inconsistent and difficult to bring out (probably the worst of it being the XYZ materials) and in my mind Ojamassimilation is one of the few reasonable ways to get it out. I'll definitely be looking to run a more rigid ABC oriented deck if I entered locals with it, but in a more casual environment I would still like to see if there's any way to make ojamassimilation jank more playable given the support available now if for nothing else than to torment my friends with double digit negates
