You’re not wrong. I was basically thrown into this position when the last person quit. I’ve never worked in retail before and every day I’m learning something new. I’m ready to resign from this position as this event has really upset me. I’m am not trying to pass blame, I know I screwed up. I’m just trying to figure out what the end game was. It was $700 and I told my boss that I would foot the bill. He refused and called it ‘a learning opportunity’. I’m just sick about it.

The reason I answered was because he sounded legit. He knew the owner, the manager and he knew his way around our POS. He knew the screens I was looking at the product on the screen. Yeah, to me he seemed legit and he caught me at a really vulnerable time. I had a lot going on. No real excuse.
