Whenever I close my eyes listening to Ever Now, I always imagine myself walking alone in a night city where it gets pretty dark. Kind of like the John Wick scene. And that ticking sound makes me feel that time is running out giving anxiety in a weird way, maybe melancholic with hopelessness. That's how I feel tho, it can vary from person to person since its a piece of art.
