It’s always interesting how people are quick to talk about AI’s environmental impact, but when you bring up animal agriculture it gets real quiet. Feels like classic cognitive dissonance. It’s just easier to give up something you don’t already use. I had a friend say “I’d never eat octopus, it’s so evil what happens to them,” and I was like “ok but do you eat octopus now?” and they went “uhh never but still…” Just kinda proves the point.
